Really nice place. Staff are welcoming and friendly and the food is great. Especially good is the massive lawned children's play area.

Excellent village pub with friendly welcome. Good menu choices with outside and kids menus. Advisable to book table to eat. Tea, coffee and cakes served. Wide selection of great beers and wines. Good facilities for young children with ample outside seating. Party and celebration facilities available.

Visiting with three adults and two children for a light lunch and was disappointed by the poor customer service.

We were sat in the marquee, which was open to the garden. The garden being rather blustery at that time and the benches being trickier for my elderly mother in law to sit on. Everyone wanted sandwiches however the children were not allowed sandwiches like the adults as childrens sandwiches were part of the garden menu!

Their only options were the cooked menu which they did not require. The pub lost out on the trade as they would not budge despite the marquee/pub being nowhere nearly full. We simply wanted to eat the same meal. Will not be returning or recommending in future.

Lovely surroundings and massive beer garden. Visited on a sunny summer day only to be told no food or drinks in the beer garden for health and safety reasons... madness! Over 30 tables in the garden. What a waste... such a shame, there were 5 of us so would've been probably £100 spent. Their loss

Lovely big pub in the roman village of Caerwent. Visit was for a community event on a bright sunny day. Light refreshments were provided which were fresh well presented and more than sufficient for over 80 guests. Staff reasonably friendly and efficient too. All I'm all I would recommend a visit if you are passing through.

I had the most delicious Christmas meal today at my local pub. The service was wonderful, all our food was brought to us all together. No waiting for each meal to arrive. Will definitely recommend this pub to all my friends. Thank you Heidi and your staff. Xx
