Food is always good, always very very busy in the evenings so booking is almost always required. However negatives are that the pub of old seems to have gone and its almost entirely focused on the food now. If you just want a drink you feel you're taking up a table someone could be eating at. In the summer its absolutely lovely to sit outside and is always our first choice of somewhere to go for a drink. On the pricey side but I've never had a bad meal there.

Probably one of the best traditional pubs in North Wales. The food is amazing: Sunday roast 5/5, Steak & Ale Pie 5/5, Steak Burger 4/5. Especially the steak & ale pie got a lot of meat and really nice gravy. Great selection of beers, too. Hard to get a table for dining - booking advised. They have a bar and outside area for first come first serve seating. The people, service staff as well as customers, are all very friendly.

Lovely place to eat or just relax with a drink or two. Food really good and extensive menu changes daily along with a specials board. Portions are generous in size and good value for money.
Mostly level but 2 areas up a few steps, can accommodate wheelchairs but advise reserving a suitable table in advance if visiting at peak times. Dining area at rear is reservation only but plenty of seating inside and out as well.

Lovely place, liked it so much we ate there twice in three days! Friendly cozy pub atmosphere, but with two dedicated eating areas too. Menu is great, with vegetarian options, children's menu. On our second visit I had the best sausage and mash for many years (called dragon sausages because there's a little bit of extra heat in them). Portions are huge, staff are friendly and helpful. If you want to eat in the evening, probably best to book, it's very popular, for good reason.

Popped in to kill some time and it was busy. Which is a good sign. It has been a good few years since I have been in here. So we shared one of the long tables with another family. They were raving about their food and whilst we were just having drinks, the pint of Directors was fab. Staff were friendly and they accepted card payments.

Lovely building, inside and out. Friendly staff, and good hot food. Nice hidden gem off the main road, with handy car park opposite.

A lovely traditional pub serving great food. Be advised they dont take bookings, and seating for food is on a first come first served basis. Literally like playing musical chairs. We shared our table with a nice couple. The food was worth the wait.

Been a while since was in the loaf and it's still a fairly upscale place and now twice as big. Staff were polite and locals friendly. It's such a shame a nice pub like the loaf is basically plonked in a car park. But a pleasant visit was accompanied by a nice beer. Bring your family for some lunch.
