Dental anxiety is unfortunately very common, and prevents a portion of the population from visiting the dentist, even when they are in pain. Here are some steps to to help you if you are one of those people:
1) Accept how you feel, fighting it will only make you feel worse
2) Take a small step by calling us as soon as you need to. Don’t put it off
... 3) Talk to us about how you feel. You aren’t the first and certainly won’t be the last nervous patient we see
4) Discuss with your dentist any specific causes of your anxiety. We may be able to find a way to ease these.
5) Make sure you eat and drink before your appointment.

A dental decontamination assistant is required for busy, mixed dental Practice located in Danescourt in Cardiff.
The decontamination assistant will be responsible for the decontamination/cleaning of dental equipment to a very high standard, as well as maintaining system checks and calibrations to ensure sterilisation procedures are consistently of the high standards expected. You will also be responsible for the cleanliness of the ...whole practice.
The successful applicant will need to be hard working, forward thinking and demonstrate the ability to work on their own as well as part of a busy team.
No experience necessary as full training will be given.
You will provide fully sterilised equipment that is compliant to practice policies, procedures and the HTM01-05 guidelines (which we will give you full training on) to ensure instruments and the decontamination area are cleaned to high standards of compliance.
We are looking for people who enjoy working as a team but confident to work alone when required, have a willingness to develop their skills, and to always put the patients first.
We will consider both full time, part time and the possibility of a job share.

The Courtyard Dental Spa have dental implant consultations available this Friday 1st March.
The consultative sessions are with Dr Phillip Chan, a skilled implant dentist. Dr Chan qualified from Cardiff University in 2007. In 2011 he completed a postgraduate Dental Implantology course at Cardiff University. Since 2011 Phillip has continued to exclusively provide implant treatment at several practices allowing him to gain valuable experience in this field.
