The Dial Inn

Visited last year and had pizza more than once and it was excellent, as was the beer, wine and service.

Been in again and it was even better. The duck was amazing and the veg perfect with it (garlic new potatoes a must). Scampi and chips good, but cheesecake and ice cream was awesome. It was busy but the service was great. I had wanted the pork but they had run out. Happy with this, as although I still wanted it I would prefer fresh when available.

I'm going there again. A bit suspicious of other reviews where thus pubs review is the only contribution - just mentioning, nothing more.

Cannot comment on the rooms as staying at Dewslake farm.

Lovely staff, drinks expensive stone bake pizzas to take away was frozen very disappointing! Would not go again.

Really gone downhill over the last few years. This week all real ales have been off for at least 3 days. Couldn't cook the duck RARE 2 nights ago. Tonight the first 3 of our meal choices we're off the menu by 7pm & the specials menu has been the same as the printed menu each time we've been over the last year.

The overall experience was ok but the decor and environment left something to be desired. I had a pizza bit it why great however the lamb that my mum had was good so I guess it depends what you go for.

Very busy Friday and Saturday in summer so advisable to book.
Staff were a little inexperienced, but the food was excellent, and very reasonably priced. Main and dessert plus drinks for £40 can't be bad.

Was recommended to call here. Pub areas quite basic in need of an upgrade. Service was mixed with waitress forgetting my drinks order and not sure what certain dishes on the menu came with. I ordered lasagne which on the menu stated it came with chips and salad. I got chips and peas. Overall the food was good but service lacking.
