Yet again me and my partner went here for a meal an yet again Joe and his team exceeded!!! We love our steak and were blown away for the 4th time! Yes this isn't a cheap option but we very rarely go out and cheap food is NOT what we opt for, we opt for taste service and quality and joe never fails to deliver! Produce is high quality and this shows! We have our favourite table by the fire and where he can Joe accomodates us and never fails to have a catch up with us! He is a credit to your team and is just what this area needs along side the staff and chefs that are there please don't go anywhere Joe my partner and me would be devastated to loose our little gem of a restaurant! See you again prob next week ha perfect as usual

My friend and I dined here Thursday night 19th October 2017. I have to say that all the staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful with full knowledge of all the dishes on the menu. The new seasonal menu had lots to of lovely dishes to choose from and I chose to have the supreme chicken with wild mushroom and vegetables and my friend had falafel burger on flat bread with home cooked chunky chips, salad and coleslaw. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend The Druid and I will definitely be returning.

My boyfriend and I just had the most amazing meal! Considering how small it looks, you definitely pay for quality food. The starters were a benchmark for how incredible the meal was set to be, my partner in foodie crime delved into the crispy duck leg, whilst I hungrily shovelled down calamari rings. As with every meal we eat together, we always sample each others meal, and both felt certain pangs of jealousy with each bite. Next in what felt like no time at all we were both presented with our hearty mains. Pan fried chicken for him and 12 hour braised beef for myself. Each received quite frankly the tastiest veg on the side I've ever consumed. The food was just to die for, boasting sizable portions to feed the mightiest of appetites, and I just couldn't let the beef beat me. Because we're a sweet toothed couple, we couldn't resist dessert and were both set on the same dish; gooey choc pud with white chocolate mousse. Even though it was a little tart for my palette, I couldn't fault it. Maybe I was just too full to thoroughly enjoy it. The location of the Inn is very convenient from Mold, and the interior was very well presented. Maybe just careful how you walk across the floor on a wet day like today, even the incredibly friendly waiter nearly decked it! Top service, new favourite!

Had lunch there last week. It was very quiet and I understand they've had a few teething problems and are working up to being fully open again. I like the new decor very much and it gives it a much livelier feel. The young girl serving was friendly and efficient and the menu had enough choice to suit any palate. The food was excellent very well cooked and presented with good size portion. Good luck to them

Had a fabulous tapas meal here today. The staff were so accommodating and very friendly. Couldn’t fault the food or service at all! Looking forward to our next visit!

Awesome place loved every minute in a cosy and stylish interrior with the food being the main part. 5 star what a business and my rating score of 8.5 out of 10 goes to Dylan antrobus well done

Went for a meal sat 30th September with my hubby, food ok bit pricey for what you got, with me being a coeliac I asked for a gluten free menu, which was quite pleasing but no gluten free chips which is disappointing, a small fryer doesn't cost much to do just chips in! But an hour after leaving i was violently sick, which tells me there kitchen is not set up for offering gluten free, something was contaminated!!!!!!!!! came to pay the bill it came to £53:60 gave the waiter £60 waited for change never came back, had to ask for it, don't mind leaving a tip but not that much!!!!! won't be rushing back!!

This is my first complaint ever and quite unhappy that I’ve had the unpleasant experience as the Druid is usually a fabulous place to dine . On visiting here last Sunday as a chosen place for my birthday I was quite disheartened by the service and vegetarian choice on the menu . Waiting 40 minutes for starters and a further hour after that for mains it wasn’t the best service to be honest . The food wasn’t great either and as we left a further customer actually complained that his food wasn’t cooked . A one off I’m hoping as for the past several years we have very fond memories of dining here .

Me and my family decided to try the newly refurbished Druid inn this evening and we have been greatly disappointed!

The service we received from the waiting on staff was brilliant, especially from Adam who couldn't do enough for us - this review is no reflection on the waiting on staff.

My brother in law ordered the fillet steak from the special menu and ordered it rare. When it arrived, it had the appearance of a braised steak and was certainly not rare. The waiter apologised and took it back to the kitchen where it was replaced with a rare cut of beef (not a convincing fillet steak) and an extra portion of chips.

My sister ordered the steak and ale pie. The filling of the pie was tasty but she felt the pastry looked and tasted as though it had come out of a microwave.

My mum and I ordered the minted lamb chops and they were reasonably tasty but probably not worth the price tag.

We have had some lovely meals here in the past and we were looking forward to our meal this evening. The refurbishment was pleasing and has updated the restaurant. It should be noted that the manageress (or who we assumed to be the manageress) ran a tight ship and seemed as though she was intimidating the waiting staff which made us feel a little awkward.

All in all, improvements to the food and the atmosphere are necessary.

I have been a regular at the Druids over the years, but had not tried it after the refurb till last night. Called by chance and had a table straight away, drinks sorted and orders taken, made to feel very welcome. 20 minutes later waiter returned, apologised that he had lost our order, not an easy mistake to make but it happens. At that point I thought an offer of another drink while we waited would have helped, but we had to order another round. Food arrived another 20 mins later, menu made it sound much better than it was, soggy chips soft anemic scampi, the salad was limp lettuce a cherry tomato cut in half and a slice of cucumber. Waiter was told of our dissapointment but nothing offered to compensate. Very dissapointed with standard pub food done badly. I have had better elswhere at half the price.

Firstly I have never written a negative review unfortunately I have felt the need to on this occasion.

Nice welcome lovely place. Starter was great. I wasn't happy with my meal and politely mentioned to a gentleman who manages the place. I wasn't offered an alternative meal so I sat whilst my boyfriend had his. It was clear he was angry with my complaint and wasn't interested. Fortunately the lady who joint manages the place had a much better approach. The gentleman made it clear he was pissed off and didn't have the decency to appolagise or say goodbye as we played our bill. Shame as it's such a nice place we will not be returning. I felt awful when we left. Bad experience.

User

Expected a lot more for the money to be honest. New decor is rough round the edges, toilets are still a bit grim. Food was just ok although my rib eye steak was as tough as old boots and the drinks are overpriced. Service was ok though. Don't mind paying good money if it's worth it but it pains me to say it isn't here and we won't be making an effort to come back in a hurry despite it being on our doorstep. Shame

User

Over priced for the food you get also supposed to have gluten free food my wife was sick after ! And to top the night off when I paid for my bill wasn’t given my change had to ask !! Overall very poor won’t be going back again
