The Elan Hotel

The staff are wonderful and food to match. I couldn't wait to eat the food hence a small nibble before I took the pictures. The rooms are good and the atmosphere is so relaxing, well worth a stay.

Excellent Sunday lunch, in fact we recommend it to our guests here at Wye View Cottages.

Dined here twice on our two-night stay. Not the cheapest, and a little slow on the second night, but worth it for the excellent food. We especially enjoyed the baked brie on cranberry dressed salad for starters: perfect. Generous portions and pleasant staff.

A great stay. We had 3 nights at The Elan. Received a warm welcome and the lady who checked us in, took me directly to the room. We had room 6. A bit warm, but the area was going through a bit of a heatwave. The fan supplied wasn't strong enough. The bed was the most comfortable bed we've had on our journey throughout the UK / Wales. The shower has a large head with good pressure. Breakfast was included in our tariff and it included cereals, fruit, yoghurt, cooked options, juice, tea/coffee. We dined there once for dinner, and meals were cooked well and of generous proportions. Staff were very friendly and aware of their customers. There was live entertainment on the Sat night, once we returned to our room, we were not disturbed by it or the crowd. A well run, small family business. If the opportunity arose would definitely return.

Really nicely done out rooms. Good food in pub below. Friendly staff. Pets allowed in some rooms only. Parking is on street or car park with narrow entrance to rear. Good location on high street for local shops pubs and restaurants.

Friendly staff, clean modern rooms, what I would expect for the price bracket. Our room was compact but had everything we needed. Food was good and attentive staff, checking everything ok etc. Good central location in Rhayader, we were long distance walking so can't comment on parking.

Very comfortable room. Good food and real ale.
