Roast beef Sunday lunch was excellent as was the beer. This historic pub has been recently refurbished to a high standard in keeping with the traditional surroundings.

Great pub and atmosphere but shocking attitude of one staff member in particular... suprisingly the manager! On two occasions he made rude guestures to the children (well behaved might I add) on another occasions shouting 'F@*king kids!' If the guy doesnt like children (which he obviously doesnt) I suggest he doesnt work in the hospitality trade! People with children, Id recommend you avoid, the manager is definitely the dragon!!

Nicely renovated with cool decor, but let down by probably the most miserable bar manager in Wales. Perhaps it doesn't help if you happen to be English?

Tourists should avoid - this is definitely a 'local place for local people'.

Nice relaxed atmosphere. Does get busy at times. Food was nice and a good sized portion.

A lot cheaper than the restaurants along the front for much nicer food in a much nicer place. Old building, new furniture, very cute. Thanks for a wonderful lunch!

We stopped for lunch, nice decor and friendly staff but an uninspired menu and poorly cooked food let us down.

A lovely pub with excellent meals at a reasonable price... Apparently the oldest pub in Wales, but you wouldn't know it from the decor, clearly well maintained and kept up to date while retaining the feel of a country pub. Highly recommended!

Was given somewhat of an ultimatum by who was presumably the manager of this place after 15 minutes of sitting down "either buy a drink or get out". This was exceptionally rude and was clearly motivated by the fact we weren't typical punters being young university students. I could tell he was looking us up and down as if we were insolent youths and even felt the need that to tell us we were "on camera" as if we were commiting a crime. Wouldn't bother going unless you're a local, very unwelcoming attitude from both staff and other patrons. Essentially referred to us as children by stating "this is a pub not a crèche", frankly me and my friends were shocked by how unreasonably rude this man was.
