The table was laid to a high standard, inviting and giving us an idea of what was come. The sandwiches were varied, the cakes delicious and the fruit and scones, fresh cream and jam were mouth watering. We couldn’t possibly have eaten all of the food served up to us at the cream tea but we brought home anything we couldn’t manage to eat in a bag. We both enjoyed the complimentary glass of Prosecco and would definitely return for another cream tea.

Proof once again that you do not have to pay silly prices for good food

Popped in for lunch today. Very nice place.First time been there since new owners took over. Really lovely food at great prices.

My self and my family have had so many meals and functions up the Greyhound, food always hot and tasty staff always happy and helpful can not fault the Greyhound.

My father booked in advanced for a meal for 22 people to celebrate my man's 70th birthday in her memory it was a fantastic meal the staff was very polite and will be booking again thank you to the cook the steak was magnificent thank you all once again xx

Lovely place friendly staff such big portions desserts were presented beautifully by smiling young waitress and so reasonable priced will defiantly be visiting against

I booked this pub for a celebratory lunch yesterday 2/5/18 for my daughter after she got married at Mansion House Newport,

12 family guests from Brighton arrived to surprise her and all I can say is that the service we received from the staff was amazing, we had the conservatory laid out for us,

The food was amazing, the price was unexpectedly low, and the landlord and landlady even presented my daughter with a free bottle of Prosecco

All in all a special day done on a low budget but this pub was outstanding,

Had mixed grill and a steak sat outside in a lovely setting, fab service in a lovely clean well kept pub polite and cheerful staff and premier on tap perfect combination ���

Great value food ,good choice and a specials board. Real pub atmosphere. We will be back.

Great food. Great value and great service. Only issue was portions were so generous that I needed to be rolled out. � Got to sit out in the beer garden too which is a little sun trap. Vant wait to return. Thank you

Been to the greyhound today for afternoon tea with my daughters had a really nice time .Very friendly staff lovely atmosphere and the food was absolutely beautiful would highly recommend

A local pub with an oldie World feel about it. Sunday lunch was terrific value, with larger than normal portions. A fine selection of desserts, are available, but starters are not on the menu. To be honest, the main and a dessert would more than satisfy even the healthiest of appetites. The pub is clean, and has a pleasant atmosphere. Happy to recommend.

5* food and service every time we have been here! The staff are so lovely and welcoming. The ladies behind the bar are fab and so friendly! The waitresses can’t do enough for you always happy to help and smiling which is so refreshing to see! my family love it here. Always a pleasure to attend no matter what the occasion! Xxx

Very pleased with our meal here last night we took my mum and dad who couldn't believe how big the portions was and how good the prices are,our food was cooked perfect hot and with lovely friendly service we will defiantely be coming again.

A lovely afternoon with excellent food and plenty of it, friendly staff , good menu and excellent prices , would definitely go back again

We have been there for a meal many times and have always raved about the food and service. We went there on Wednesday, and I am sad to say we will not be going back for a meal again. One of the meals was the 12oz rump steak which was asked to be cooked rare to medium. The steak arrived at the table very over cooked and was tough and like shoe leather. I must add that every time we have frequented in the past we have had the same meal and it has been lovely. I think they must of either changed the chef or the butcher used to supply the meat.

As I stated in my Facebook Post my Neice Mrs Lynda Griffiths and I visted on Wednesday 20th June 2018. We found the service very slow, but I did enjoy my battered cod, french fries and onion salad. I was a bit disapponited that there was no LIEBFRAUMILCH wine available to drink with my meal so I settled for a house red. From reading other reviews it seems that this establishment caters well for large parties, but my Niece and I won't be going there again.

Well what can I say, visited our local after hearing so many good stories, only to be truly disappointed fish was rubbery, steak was really tough, all in all we were very disappointed 😞
