Have visited this pub many times over the years and always enjoyed a wonderful meal every time. Would highly recommend.

Lovely food, lovely staff, lovely atmosphere! I had the venison and it was beautiful! Have never had a bad experience and will always recommend. Thank you very much!

Great place, great food. Atmosphere was lovely, couldn't really fault it. Food was good value for the quality, but the lunch menu was slightly expensive for the Set menu, especially when it came to the burger (+£3 on top of the set lunch menu if you wanted the burger). Lovely quality food though, will be visiting again soon, really enjoyed our visit and the creme brulee was the best I've ever tasted. Scrummy.

I've made two visits to the Groes Wen. A Friday night and a Sunday lunch. Both times were excellent. The Sunday lunch is exceptionally good.

Nice pub and staff. Welcomes dogs. Clean and comfortable. Good food, excellent beverage selection both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Good parking easy to find off A49.

Amazing food, cooked to perfection by Amazing staff that make you feel welcome the entire time your there, if that wasn't enough! Your faithful hound can accompany you with bowls for your four legged friend. They offer a semi reasonable smoking area with outside seating for the summer which is accompanied by a beautiful sunset.

We Found this Lovely place on our Travels and it was really welcoming and cosy.
There are lots of different tables to choose from. Which was nice.

You order your drinks and food at the bar.
A nice selection of both food and drink.
The staff were very helpful.

The Groes Wen Inn means the white cross inn.
Which was nice to find out.

We will definitely come back to visit.

The food here was really good with very generous portions too. I particularly liked the coffee and mini dessert options which are more than enough once you've had a big main course. It was a little busy the night we went and service was a bit slow but the staff were very friendly and helpful.

They give a whole new meaning to ham,egg and chips..we had not been there for a while but will certainly return...my husband had beer battered fish with peas ,and triple fried chips and my ham was amazing..
