What a fabulous night we all had at the horseshoe for my partners 40th birthday, Jess thank you and your staff for making it a lovely night to remember honestly I can’t thank you enough for your hospitality and the 5 star service we received

User

We're here for Green Man and have visited the Horse Shoe a couple of times so far. What a great pub! Friendly staff, great beers and they even let us have a free lemon for the gin and tonics back at our cottage. If you're in the area for Green Man (or any other reason) go in and have a pint!

User

We stopped on the canal and walked down the hill very steep. Food was fantastic great Gin selection could not believe the cost at the end of our visit fantastic value for money, made the walk back up the hill worth it.

User

Very warm welcome β€˜ food was fabulous β€˜ great service β€˜ we will definitely be going back to the lovely pub β€˜πŸ˜Š

User

Stayed for two nights, over Saturday and Sunday, absolutely brilliant, great family ran business, friendly people, great service, lovely breakfast!

Would definitely recommend, room was superb!

User

Our familiar visited the Horse Shoe Inn over the last bank holiday while camping at park farm.

What a massive transformation the pub has gone through!

The food was great and the Ales were good too. It was nice to see the range of Ales growing as the week went, really hoping they were a hit as we are big Ale drinkers and like a variety to choose from οΏ½

I do like my golden ages - a little hint I'm camping this weekend and will be knocking on your door οΏ½

Well done!

User

Oh my god! Awesome! We called in after a less than fantastic meal locally and we were blown away. Proper pub!

No food was being served (Saturday evening) and it was perfect and what's more...packed. Just like pubs used to be with a truly fantastic atmosphere.

Only two staff behind the small bar and one young lady clearing glasses, but super organisation meant no-one waited long at the bar. Absolutely fabulous place with a great selection of proper draught beer (Butty Bach and Doombar were on last night and one other that I can't remember) and interesting European lagers. Very different to how it looked when I drank there as a teenager (pretending to be 18). Wow, took me right back, let's hope this is the way forward for many other country pubs. Go take a look. You will adore it. Thank you guys. You made an old lush feel 10 years younger.

My husband and I stayed last night after a family reunion held here. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were all so very helpful. Beautiful room with all the facilities we needed. Breakfast was fab and again the staff were great. We visit the area regularly to see family and have now found a new place to stay. We will be back very soon......loved it x

User

My husband and I stayed at the Horseshoe last Saturday night and had an evening meal there. Food was very good and Sue was so helpful. Room was great. All in all a 10/10

User

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights for the Greenman festival a few days ago. Our stay with The Horseshoe Inn was nothing less than perfect! The owners and staff couldn't do enough for us. The attention to detail and quality of the room and food was excellent. Great location and very friendly locals in the bar. We will definately return.

User

Had a meal today with my dad, carol my brother and my daughter, lovely meal, my daughter was disappointed there was no chocolate cake for dessert lol, but that's kids for you, was not disappointed, lovely pub thanks

User

Had a fabulous meal there tonight, thoroughly enjoyed it, 6 of us in the group with 2 children, couldn't fault it at all. Fabulous, friendly service with a lovely cosy atmosphere. Could totally recommend

User

Great to see this pub open again and what a fantastic restoration! Super friendly staff, great selection of ales and great service. When I asked if I could buy a lemon to take back to the cottage for a G and T, the barmaid said I could have one for free - now that's what I call service!

Shame we're only here for a week - I could get used to this as my local!

User

Fantastic place

fantastic staff.

Fantastic accomodation

Loved the food

Great place to spend a few days wish I had more time to stay here.

Will definitely return if we can

User

Called in for a swift half while on a walk from Gilwern and back. Perfect halfway point. Ended up having a very welcome pint and a hotdog. What impressed me was another couple came in with their dog and instantly they were brought a bowl of water and a few dog biscuits. Excellent attention to detail, and all done very naturally. I'll be back.

User

Beautifully renovated - loved all the unique tables, the exposed stone walls and fireplaces, the little quirky touches like the coloured panelling in the ladies', and the little mouse peeking through a knot hole.

Great atmosphere, decent selection of beers, a great addition to the village.

User

Beautiful restoration to a classic village pub. I would recommend the shoe to everyone. Great beer and food, friendly bar staff and the lovely helpful Jess overseeing everything and ensuring your experience is positive. Please don't all turn up at once as I will need to get in!!!

User

A proper pup with proper pub food at a very reasonable price and full of locals just what you want from a country pub top marks !

User

Went in to watch the man utd v Liverpool game which was finishing 5 minutes after a 6 nations game was due to start (not Wales by the way) and have never felt more unwelcome and pushed out in my life. Made to feel like a Alien because I wanted the football on the screen. Definitely won't be returning.

Had a meal today with my dad, carol my brother and my daughter, lovely meal, my daughter was disappointed there was no chocolate cake for dessert lol, but that's kids for you, was not disappointed, lovely pub thanks

Had a fabulous meal there tonight, thoroughly enjoyed it, 6 of us in the group with 2 children, couldn't fault it at all. Fabulous, friendly service with a lovely cosy atmosphere. Could totally recommend

Beautifully renovated - loved all the unique tables, the exposed stone walls and fireplaces, the little quirky touches like the coloured panelling in the ladies', and the little mouse peeking through a knot hole.

Great atmosphere, decent selection of beers, a great addition to the village.
