Although we have been taking guests to stay at Llandudno for years, we hadn't actually ourselves stayed in the resort for almost 30 years! The Imperial is a wonderful, traditional sea-side hotel and, in our opinion, Llandudno is a best seaside resort in Britain (maybe in the World!). We had a wonderful, one-night stay after flying in from Liverpool airport before returning home. It was a perfect end to a nice holiday. The staff and facilities were superb.

I have lost count of how many years we have been coming to stay at the Imperial and we will hopefully come back for many more. The rooms are perfectly comfortable and clean with everything you need for a good night sleep. The food is delicious both breakfast and dinner in the evening. The staff are always friendly and efficient too. The only slight negative - the terrace has been updated and looks very modern however not having carpet does make it more echo-y and hard to concentrate on your own conversation whilst the others around seem so loud. A little light background music, there used to be some but not whilst we were there last week, would help a little I think.

We stayed in a front facing superior room and the facilities were excellent. Comfortable beds, plenty of space and a very well appointed bathroom.
The staff were all very friendly and welcoming in all areas, reception, porter, bar staff and restaurant. This made a massive contribution to a wonderful stay.
It was a shame that one of the 2 lifts broke down on Sunday morning as, wile we were able to cope, it was obvious that the pressure on the remaining very small lift was creating a challenge for other guests.

We took advantage of the winter offer of reduced rates and stayed for 3 nights. When Booking on line, the system would not allow me to book for 3 consecutive nights and so I had to complete two different bookings and then email reception to ensure both bookings were together.
We had a superior double room and to be honest I think it needed a settee or a couple of comfortable chairs to make it feel more homely and definitely needed a much larger TV.
We used the swimming pool on the Thursday evening but it was a lot cooler than usual which personally put me off using it the following day.
We were booked on a bed and breakfast basis and as usual the food was good.
The only real ‘gripes’ we have when staying here is the car parking at the back of the hotel, getting a space can be very difficult. But if you are happy to leave your keys with reception you can just leave your car anywhere in the car park even if you are blocking others. I don’t want anyone else to drive my car and therefore do not leave my keys.
On the whole we enjoyed our stay

My wife and I had many wonderful stays at the Imperial. Sadly my wife died in November 2016. This was my first stay on my own and I was nervous being on my own. I should not have been, the staff were kindness itself. The room 210 was excellent and everyone from reception, bar and restaurant were wonderful. Food exceptional. Despite some sadness returning back alone I had a great stay and will certainly return in the new year. Many thanks to everyone.

Lovely place popped in for a drink on our wedding anniversary, sat in the conservatory area, lovely views of the prom, in a quiet cozy area.

The conservatory at the front of The Imperial has to be one of the best places for tea, snacks or drinks whilst watching the waves. The staff are all lovely and very polite and the homemade biscuits are the cherry on top. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful building, very well maintained and tastefully furnished. The hotel has a very grand feel to it which added to the sense of being a treat to be there. It's ideally located, nowhere is too far away. All the staff we met were very polite and helpful. Our room was very clean, tidy and well equipped with a lovely sea view. Breakfast was very tasty and we had a lovely evening in the bar listening to a harpist. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and we will stay again in the future.

In some respects it's a run of the mill place. However, the staff are consistently extremely good. Have stayed three times in as many years and they always impress.
