THE LARDER CAFÉ IS CLOSING ON 30th June
Dear Friends and Customers of The Larder Café, The Larder Café will be closing permanently on Saturday the 30th June due to my retirement. This has not been an easy decision to make as I had many personal factors to take into consideration. However, decision now made so we must move forward with it.... The growing success of the cafe over the past 2½ years has been largely due to its amazing customer base and staff and we are grateful to all of you who have helped to make us the successful cafe business that we are today. We have tried hard to make each one of our customers happy through exceptional friendly customer services and we like to feel that we have achieved this in some small way. Indeed, it has been a delight and pleasure to serve you all. I am hoping that it will not be too long before there is another café up and running. If you know of someone or a group that would be interested, please get in touch with our landlords representative Neil Workman at 028 90327954 I will be clearing out the contents later in July if there is anything that you would like to purchase please let me know. We apologise for any inconveniences that this may cause you and again thank you for your support and loyalty in the past.
Fondest memories from all the staff and myself.
Anne Hughes

My first time in here yesterday. Lovely homely little cafe with an interesting breakfast and lunch menu plus scrumptious looking cakes and traybakes and a Morelli ice cream counter. I had a filled soda, which was delicious, but there are more ambitious menu options too. I was particularly impressed by their very positive response when I asked if breastfeeding would be welcome. I will definitely be back.

Just popped in for lunch with my partner on a rare baby-free afternoon. Grub was lovely, staff were really friendly and the new interior is very neat and clean (and stylish!). Of course the acid test will be bringing my little boy in but I'm definitely going to try some of the traybakes next!

I’ve just moved into the area and I was so happy to find this gorgeous cafe! I was in this morning with my little daughter and my hubby and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. There was little toys for our daughter to play with and plenty of choice on the menu...everything looked so clean and well organised and best of all was super tasty...and I ended up with a little gift of a box of fudge and hand decorated cookies...can’t wait to get stuck in on Mother’s Day :-) thanks ladies I will definitely be back xx

Hi guys as a chief I'm always looking for somewhere to eat so after a long morning working on my lap top I was very Hungry. So not wanting to travel I headed down to Ashbury avenue where the Larder cafe is. I've been there once before and it was just ok. But it's under new management. I've been looking at this place for about 6 week and wanted to try it out so here was my opportunity.

Well I was not disappointed, with a new paint job and and an upgrade to the and staff and the food.

I had the Brie and crispy pear with caramelise onion on whole meal bread, and a chorizo sausage chickpea soup with crispy croutons melted cheese. All freshly made both were out standing the soup was one of the best soups I have every tasted. So I can highly recommend The Larder Cafe for very good food, friendly service from Sarah and great food from Chef owner Anne.

Fab coffee and food. Pleasant staff and great service. Have been a few times and not been disappointed. Spotlessly clean with staff wearing gloves and using tongs to lift food - something that you don't always see.
