The Loft

An excellent opportunity has arisen at The Glyn Clydach Hotel/ The Loft Restaurant. A function venue with a Restaurant located in Neath, serving fresh, home-cooked food and providing overall quality service.
We are looking for someone to drive our team of chefs to produce and deliver excellent food to our guests. You would need to possess the required experience, necessary qualifications along with the ability to be creative and passionate about providing a service based on the provision of locally produced food.

called to the loft for an early lunch with a friend today, my friend had some special requirements and straight away the staff were attentive.



we arrived an hour before they were actually serving food and they made arrangements for the kitchen to open early. my friend asked for a variation on the sandwiches and this wasn't an issue at all. food was gorgeous,who knew a panini could taste so good!!



I spend a lot of time with people who have additional needs and the loft is now top of my list of places to go. easy parking,wheelchair accessible and staff who understand how to make the experience a great one.



the staff made a massive effort to make us welcome and absolutely nothing was too much trouble.



we will definitely visit again the next time work brings us to neath. well done!!

Were do I start ?? First the place/ location is stunning, the staff you couldn't ask for better the service was tip top, the food abouslty stunning, beat me tho, definitely coming back got a score to settle with that 12oz gammon

Visited with my husband a few weeks ago. We had our wedding reception at the Glyn Clydach almost 16yrs ago (the same room as the loft) and 1st time back since. Amazing service, amazing food. We sat on the patio area outside - gorgeous views. Will be back soon!

Visited The Loft last Saturday evening for a joint birthday meal ! I have to say the food was pre ordered as we were a large number but from beginning to end nothing was to much trouble . Exceptional service and food . Will highly recommend to others and will most definatly be returning .

Thank you so much to Samantha who looked after us tonight such a lovely lady we've had a brill time for my sisters surprise 30th meal.. Food was amazing and such a relaxed feeling sitting outside.. Can't wait for our next meal at the Loft �xx

Myself and my family (group of 12) visited to celebrate my mum's 70th birthday. The staff couldn't do enough for Us! Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived to the time we left. All our meals were served together, were all hot, fresh and delicious. We couldn't fault a thing! Thank you to all the staff for making my mum feel special on her birthday, we will definitely be visiting again!

Me and my family visited The Loft yesterday for afternoon tea celebrating my Grandma’s birthday. The food was delicious and fresh with lots of sweet and savoury choices. The staff were very attentive regularly making sure we had enough food, tea and coffee. They also brought us extra food when requested.

Definitely recommend and will be returning :)

I came here for food yesterday for the first time as I'd heard how nice it was. Absolutely amazing quality, hats off to the chef! A beautiful location, especially with the view from the conservatory. Overall, the service we received from staff was outstanding. They were very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely be returning. Will recommend to everyone I see. Thank you x

Had food at The Loft yesterday & it was amazing!! Can't believe we didn't know about this place when it's on our doorstop! Had 3 courses, all beautiful � waitresses were very friendly & the chef stayed to do dessert for us although serving time had finished! Will definitely be back soon! Thanks again ��

Every visit to The Loft is exactly the same! Wonderful staff, waitresses so friendly and always smiling. Have tried a variety of dishes and all are cooked perfectly. Plenty of it and always comes hot to the table!

Always had nice hot food here, girls at the bar are lovely (seen 1 or 2 negative reviews about them??) but honestly don't let that put you off as everytime we have been they are always so nice! The rooms at the hotel are just beautiful! And the views from rooms 1 (bridal suit) 2 & 3 are amazing! We have hand on heart not had a bad visit! - hence why we chose this location as our wedding venue in 3 weeks time. Thank you all, you do a great job!

A huge thank you to The Loft for hosting our choir Valley Rock Voices last Thursday evening. Despite there being 26 of us the food was as always outstanding. We obviously had to wait a while for service but the food came out for all of us together, it was hot and delicious.

We had a wonderful fun evening and will definitely be going again. Organising the evening was easy, with prepaid deposit of £5 pp and menu choice decided before hand. This process was easy and worked seamlessly.

The staff were cheerful and helpful, well done all round to Katie and the team.

Gorgeous coffee and nibbles as usual with wonderful waitresses. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because when enquiring about having my sons christening party there, the woman (assuming a member of the management team) who came to speak to me about prices was extremely rude. If I am simply asking about what my options are, I don't expect to be met with comments such as 'what is your father, a vicar or something?'. As much as I would love to have had it there, there is no way I would now, and by reading some of the other reviews it seems I am not the only one who has had an issue with the management. It's a shame, a lovely place in such beautiful settings with friendly staff is brought down by one, really sour faced person.

Absolutely fabulous staff who were very creative and enthusiastic about making some Mocktails for me for lunch! The food was delicious and the chef was extremely accommodating with my vegan dish.

The setting was idyllic with sweeping lawns stretching out from the decking outside the restaurant.

Where do I start, Waited 45 minutes just to have our orders taken for food, another 40 minutes for the starters which we then had to request for our plates to be taken away. Eventually when the mains arrived 2 hours after our orders were taken the lasagne and garlic potatoes were hard, my friends "rare" steak which was the size of 2 golf balls was cooked well done and the bread could knock someone out it was that hard.



As for the service the staff were rude and did not at any point check whether our food was ok. In the whole 3 1/2 hours we were there they only once came up to the table to take drinks orders. At the end of the night one of the waitresses informed us the manager would like to speak to us, shock 30 minutes later we are still sitting there she claims she "forgot and thought we had left". I will never be eating at The loft ever again!.

Visited the Loft for a Christmas dinner at a cost of £26.95 per head and it was awful. Would suggest that the sub standard meal supplied couldn't have cost more than £5 for everything. Due to the very small portions, I waited for them to supply extra vegetables but there wasn't anything. We had overbooked beforehand and it still took 25 mins between each course. I would not go back
