Went last night. Booking for 14 people for a family Hen Do. The food was pre ordered. All came out together. All steaks cooked to perfection and other meals were great quality. My cod loin was enormous and really tasty and the others said the belly pork was amazing. Service was really friendly and attentive. The pub was full so a lovely atmosphere too. Would recommend.

Well we paid a visit to dayne & Curtis sister restraint today,felt like we were being trators as we hav, on all celebrations times been at butterflies in blaenavon,but you done yourselves proud,5☆ service,food was outstanding, excellent prices, excellent service & fair to say the young gentleman serving us was always checking & asking that all was ok or required anything ,a very nice up & coming good waiter,the freshness of the soup & the lasangna was the best I've ever eaten,& I got a gd high standards of food,well done & we will now take it in turn with your sister resturaunt can't choose which one stands out both 5☆rating thank you from your luncheon ladies xx

We were a party of 7 for Sunday Lunch yesterday, and thoroughly enjoyed it!! The service was very friendly and efficient and the food was excellent, especially the potato and chorizo hash - overall the best Sunday Lunch I’ve had in a while - thank you!! We all look forward to visiting again soon.

We visited tonight for the first time in a long time and we live locally. We have been meaning to visit since it re opened and just haven't had the chance. So glad we went! Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere, not a great choice of wines but they are in the middle of changing the wine menu and arranging a new selection, plenty of alternatives though. Me and my husband, and our friends are very much looking forward to going back again soon! Thanks guys for a lovely evening! Spot on.

We spent Saturday night at the Lower New Inn to celebrate a 60th birthday. We were a party of 18 and all of the food came out together and was piping hot. The staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely be going back!

We didn't have a reservation but decided to try it on the off-chance. We had the Sunday roast. The food was faultless and the service was good. Definitely recommend a visit and will certainly be going back.

Visited the Lower New Inn tonight (Thursday 12th April) and have had a very gorgeous meal.

Friendly welcome as soon as we walked in, excellent service from the young waitress (Carys.) Ordered tithe chicken supreme and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, both were amazing.

Today was a first here for us,for a Sunday lunch. Firstly the staff are very friendly, professional and attentive. The food was delicious, I had lamb which was a little fatty for my liking....I didn't complain or even mention it....in my opinion it didn't spoil my lunch, and I sometimes myself buy a fatty cut of meat unknowingly. The food and service was just quality, a little different from Butterflies too which was lovely. Will definitely be returning!

Lovely Easter Sunday lunch we were a party of ten adults plus two children the food was great and the staff couldn't do enough for us we enjoyed it so much we have booked for Christmas Day lunch

Just back from a fantastic meal at the lower this evening. Food delicious, service great, lovely atmosphere and portions huge!! We were a bit apprehensive after seeing some of the reviews, have to say we will be going back and would recommend, we didn’t see anything that we could critique other than prices could initially look pricey however the quality of the ingredients, presentation and portions show exactly what you are paying for. Would recommend you book as very busy!

I have eaten here several times now and the food and service is fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble and you have gone out of your way to cater for some fussy eaters in our group (myself included!).

All the staff are friendly but I have to make special mention of Ethan, such a thoughtful and polite young man who couldn’t do enough and looked after us so well. He’s an absolute credit to you!

Highly recommended. My daughter Jemma and husband have nut allergies, the chef said he would accommodate us,both meals were specially made for them which they enjoyed immensely, i had a brilliant meal of cod with bubble and squeak absolutely beautiful our two grandson also loved there meals.

The service and standard of food throughout was 10/10.

We will definitely be back soon.

Had the most lovely evening at The Lower New Inn. I, personally, hadn’t tried the food they have on offer until my visit tonight and it most definitely did not disappoint. We had 3 courses (including chicken supreme for the main dish - so good!), washed down by some of their speciality gin (definitely would recommend the strawberry flavour�), in a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff provided an amazing service & ensured that our visit was pleasurable. I will most definitely be returning! ���

Amazing food....... the cod was amazing..... chip good only criticism would be to have more chips! The dessert was outstanding..... fair play over all was great food and such a great atmosphere all staff was polite and catered to our needs brilliant cant wait to go back

1st time at the Lower tonite. Lovely warm atmosphere, lovely female staff made us feel welcome, friendly & helpful. Steak was tender, triple cooked chips lovely as was mushroom toms & onion rings! Lovely pudding! Owner & manager attended table & very friendly & helpful. I will definitely attend again!

I was very disappointed to be turned away at lunch time today. The young lady told me that 'we're not taking any more walk ins today'. I wasn't even asked if I had a reservation. I didn't see anything on the board outside saying 'reservation only' or anywhere that says 'walk ins' stop at any particular time either. I'd heard great things but sadly came out very disappointed.
