Went for afternoon tea yesterday. There was 5 of us.It was a Groupon voucher for 4,and I paid extra for another person. The sandwiches were a lovely mixture, the bread very fresh.Cakes and scones, cheesecakes all very yummy.Tea and coffee plenty of it.Very cosy sat in the dining room with fantastic views of the valley.Pedro from Portugal served us,and was very friendly, and helpful;nothing was too much trouble for him,and made our afternoon even more enjoyable;by being warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend, and will be returning.REALLY LOVELY.

We wanted somewhere to relax in comfort and be able to enjoy the benefit of an indoor pool. Our room in the Georgian part of the hotel had an excellent view and was very comfortable. We knew from previous reviews that the pool is small, so we were not disappointed with its size especially as we were often the only people in it. The evening meals and breakfasts were all superb. The sausages may have looked undercooked (as in previous review) because I think they were oven cooked which means they don't brown off the same, but are in fact evenly cooked through. We stayed for four nights. Very friendly staff.

We had our wedding here on 30th December 2017 and I couldn’t recommend the place enough! Food was amazing, the location is stunning and the staff were incredible. Clare and Nicole (the event organisers) couldnt have done more to help and make us feel at ease through it all. Thank you to everyone at the manor for our special day :) xx

User

We chose a beautiful day for lunch at the Manor, the views were gorgeous. Lunch in the restaurant was a relaxed affair, the food was delicious and and beautifully presented, and a our waitress Charlotte provided some good advice about the menu and choice of wine, she couldn't have been more helpful.

User

Stayed for two nights in a room with an absolutely amazing view! However the windows didn't close all the way and some parts in need of repair, there was a few dead flies around the window and on the floor. But that didn't ruin our stay. The staff were so friendly and couldn't have done anymore for us, the food was out of this world! 10/10 would stay here again and recommend to anyone!

User

Our granddaughter got married there yesterday it was an amazing day ,I recommend it to anyone great food great staff and a wonderful view of the Brecon beacons National Park a great wedding venue and all others occasions thank you all .

User

Myself and Angharad would like to extend our huge gratitude to Claire and the team at the Manor for all their hard work in making our day so perfect. From the set up of the room to the food, we couldn't find fault in anything and no request was too much trouble. The staff were always on hand but never overbearing- We would not hesitate to recommend this venue for a wedding to anyone considering tying the knot. We are also touched that you thought our table decorations were so beautiful! Thank you all.

User

My daughter and I took advantage of the groupon offer to try out their facilities. We had half day in the leisure facilities and lunch. Staff in every area of the hotel were helpful, polite and happy! We had a very lovely morning in the swimming pool, saunas & Jacuzzi followed by a gorgeous lunch. Would recommend and go back again without an offer!

Our only negative comment would be to turn the temperature down on the scolding hot showers! Not enjoyable after relaxing in hot environment.

User

I had my wedding reception here on the 3rd November and stayed a few nights and it was totally amazing, the staff, food, rooms, spa facilities and views were out of this world. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and would highly recommend the hotel for a venue and also to stay

User

Excellent mothers day afternoon, superb food, staff so friendly and polite, couldn't fault anything, dining room was huge, plenty of elbow room, a really well managed hotel,,,,

User

Can't recommend this place anuff. Had a lovely stay and will definitely be back in the future. The room , food , facilities and staff are amazing.

User

Been here twice once for afternoon tea which was lovely food and service, that good we booked Christmas dinner which was fantastic really lovely day food was amazing staff was top class thanks to you all will be back thank you the joneses

User

The hotel and staff are lovely and helpful. The room we had was very nice Indeed. The food is also good. I only gave a four star review as the leisure facilities really do not up dating. Still a lovely place to stay.

User

Thank you for a lovely afternoon tea for our wedding celebration. The room we stayed in was lovely, with a four poster bed and amazing views across the valley. Staff at the hotel couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.

User

Nice large room. Well appointed but the Toilet was very badly placed. Could only get 1 and a bit cheeks on. Lol. Lovely staff very attentive. Would have given it a 5 if it wasn't for the gym and the toilet. The free weights need to be binned and started from scratch. Some of them were imperial weights. And veeerrryyyy ooooolld. Needs a chest press and a leg press. Very strangely laid out and very small. Overall you get good value for money. Could also have done without drilling sounds waking me up before my alarm due to room upgrading just down the hall.

User

Just spent a very pleasant Easter Sunday lunch here with my family.

Food and service very good.

Stunning views across the valley and they had an Easter Egg hunt on for the children which was a nice touch which my niece loved

User

Went yesterday for afternoon tea. Nice but you only get one sandwich. At the Gliffies it's a buffet so help yourself to as much as you like!

Also asked the waitress for salt gave up in the end and hunted it down for ourselves. She never even came back.

This is the second time in a row I've been disappointed with the food and service at the Manor. The setting is superb but you can eat the scenery!

Spa Visit - The outside of the building and surrounding area is beautiful.

However the spa area is very small. I would say small improvements are needed, personally I would give people an hour and half time slots for x amount of people this will allow them to use all facilities (sauna fitted 4/5 people, steam room fitted 6 people, and jacuzzi fitted 4 people). The pool needs some TLC. Plus I didn't like the shoe rack as you entered into the spa area (never seen this before). I would put this in the gym area, and provide the customers with flip flops at a cost or recommend people to bring their own. A few grip mats are needed as the area become very slippery due to the amount of people in the pool area. Plus there is no area to put your belongings whilst using the spa, you do not need lockers but some sort of shelf or storage racks. Plus there was only two showers and one changing room I believe a time slot for using the spa would be a good idea.

On the plus side food was incredible and this made our spa experience. Plus the staff were very friendly and the drinks available were a good price. I would give the food 4/5 star but 2 star for the spa.

Use of Leisure Facilities - 0*

If you like clean facilities to go swim/relax then unfortunately this is not the place for you. Grimey floor, hairs and fluff all over it, slippy and cramped space. Very outdated in desperate need of a revamp. Small space to get changed. Little one kept slipping over so after purchasing coffee in the bar area I asked to use the toilets to be directed that I had to go back into the Leisure suite to use theirs, I just wanted to use a clean facility to wash our hands and after spending a lot on lunch in that restaurant to be told I wasn’t allowed to use their toilet has left quite a bad taste so we will not be returning which is a shame as the lunch , coffee and staff (with the exception of one lady) was very nice.
