Reviews
Excellent Museum, a lot to see in a small space. Friendly staff. A great day out.
Fantastic day out for any age, lovely scenary and nice walk around a roman amphitheatre, which isn't too far from the museum. It has a lot of history too look at and read about!
Great museum highly recommended. Lots of local Roman relics and some interesting reconstructions. Free entry.
Fab building. Interactive learning. Fascinating. You can take prams around but you may have issues with how wide access is.
A really good free historical location.
Spent an hour in here with the kids, they have activity sheets at the door for the kids to go hunting for info. Lots of interesting things to look at, and replica armour and helmets you can try on. Staff were all really friendly. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area. Couple of doors down is the Roman baths, equally as good.
Great place to much to see the hotel next to the Romans baths serves very good food the rooms fantastic worth the travel
Great little village with interesting roman ruins and museum. Cheap food in the bull pub.
Lots of information and artefacts to see, the coffin (see photos) was especially interesting. Just lacks more interactive information, but as it is free to enter can't really complain.
