Went here again last night, finally tried the land and sea from the menu, OMG thats for two people!!! Unbelievable value for menu and the quality is outstanding!! Cracking welcome from the word go, the guy serving was great, couldnt do enough for us. Not one for tips normally, but was happy to leave a small thanks to the staff after the effort they put in to making a great night. HIGHLY recommended!!!

The food is fantastic, great value for money and every night has some sort of entertainment going on. The staff are amazing which all adds up to a great friendly atmosphere. Loved this Pub, staff and customers.

Organised a surprise 50th birthday party at the Crown last night. Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They allowed all banners and balloons and party poppers and even helped decorate. Food was amazing and excellent service. Maddie was fab and attended to our every need. Resident Disco and karaoke topped off a perfect night. Will definitely be recommending this venue. See you soon xxx

Last time we were here a few months ago had a fab time great welcome staff were brill returned last night to celebrate my sisters birthday and got to say food was lush staff were again fab and great night had by all thanks we will see u soon

Had lunch with the Wife and Mother , They both ordered the pork belly I ordered the Mixed Espatada, Service was friendly Jacob made us feel right at home and was very attentive, We ordered Lattes while we waited for our meals the coffee was very good one of the best cups available in the town . Our meals were served in a very timely manner well presented and generous portions, I was impressed buy the quality of the food some of the best I've had in recent times in Merthyr the meats were perfectly cooked and the accompanying mashed potato very smooth and delicate, Overall I loved the informal family feel of the place and cannot wait to repeat the experience, Something that both my Wife and Mother strongly agreed with. Jorge should be proud of what he has achieved here possibly the best pub restaurant in the area I highly recommend visiting.

Had a table reserved last night for my sister's 40th and we couldn't have been any happier! We were only there for drinks but the staff couldn't do any more for us! They made us feel very welcomed and were really friendly and helpful! Thanks so much guys you made my sister's night even more special

Food absolutely superb and a very reasonable price. Staff couldn't do enough for you. We had a lovely evening celebrating my dad's birthday. Thanks :)

Every time I go there I have lovely food. IŌĆÖve never had anything to complain about. Real home made chips just like Mam used to make them. CanŌĆÖt fault anything. Staff always ready to please. Always a good atmosphere and always good music. After eating our meal we moved from the restaurant into the lounge. It was jam night on Tuesday and me and my friends thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The few pints of Sagres we drank helped us along!!! Always my first choice for a meal and a drink in Merthyr.

Called in on the half chance for food and they found a table for us even though they were busy. The food was lovely and plentiful. We shared a tapas starter for 2 which was enough for my wife before the main meal! A nice crowd in there with a band playing. Nothing was too much trouble and we will certainly be calling again. Thanks very much.

The most impressive though gotta be the staffs helpful attitude and friendly approach. Definetly going back even our 5 year old boy loved the food and dancing to the band on a Saturday afternoon

A unique experience you can't match anywhere locally, friendly staff that can't do enough for you, a good atmosphere, a diverse crowd, live music, and best of all great Portugese food. We had the Tapas for two, which was delicious but so many appealing things on the menu and something for most tastes. Great value too. Lucky to have it as my 'local.'
