we go here alot with my mum as she got a walking frame staff very helpfull fab food keep up the good work .be nice to gets some things outside for kids to play
Visited the pub today, 4 of us had meals and they were all lovely. Staff were very friendly, will definately be visiting again
I have to say what a lovely place and the staff are really friendly. The meals were very reasonable in price and tasted lovely. Considering there was a lot of snow about the car park was easily accessible also. We will definitely be back �
Had mixed grill and my son had steak apart from cold peppercorn sauce which was replaced food was fantastic I have been here a couple of times and I find the staff friendly and helpful The breakfast is fab too
Had a great family meal there last night, the only complaint I have is that the burgers didn't have onions rings in them like it stated on the menu and when we told the waitress she apologised and brought them to us on a plate and you could clearly see that they'd been taken off our side order of onion rings that we paid extra for!!
Apart from that it was a great meal lol

Fantastic service, the staff really went above and beyond for my sister who has a gluten allergy. The chef even made her a special desert. Really couldn't fault them, food was served punctually, staff were friendly food was lovely! Will definitely eat there again
We’ve been for lunch here a few times. Always a nice selection on the menu including for vegetarians. Staff have always been friendly and we’ve never had to wait too long.
The staff we friendly and polite . Food came at the expected time . Was good apart from one off the gammon steaks being over cooked . Otherwise all good
Staff very friendly, food was lovely didn't have to wait long. But only complaint was very cold, quite a few people were sitting with their coats on! Would not have wanted to stay around to long after our meals!.
Nothing special... it was an impromptu meal , food was absolutely fine, so was the service. No complaints really!
My wife and I went yesterday for lunch. She ordered the Tennessee steak dish, I ordered the standard rib eye. Mine was fine, my wife's was terrible, very chewy and impossible to cut, even with the steak knife (medium cooked).
Also, neither steak sizzled when they came out despite the menu having a sizzling guarantee they'll replace any meal which isn't sizzling upon being served. Also, the menu states steaks are expertly grilled to your liking.
Had we not been starving we'd have complained but couldn't wait any longer. Very disappointed and don't think we'll be rushing back.
We went for a family meal this week, service wasn't the best. We waited 45 mins for our food we werent told there was a wait when we ordered. The meals came and was over cooked, one of us ordered a sirloin steak medium, it was a rump and burnt to a crisp.. we complained to the manager after we ate and was told because we didnt complain before or during the meal we couldnt get a refund, after waiting 45 mins for our food in the first place and trying to find someone in the first place!!...we were offered however a free drink or a dessert.. the service was poor and the staff are run of their feet.. highlight of the evening was listening to a male member of the team ( couldnt see who it was) "shouting" at the a member of kitchen staff to "hurry the f up, you have had your break , get off your phone stop fing talking and get and clean the kitchen"...maybe this should be discussed not in a open pub, regardless of who was right or wrong.. basic management skills was needed, cant say we will bother to come back.
Oh my god the food has gone awfull. ..first off ordered mixed grill with beans instead of peas told I had to pay £1.50 for them as it was a set meal although everywhere else I have eaten this has never been a problem. ..I could buy 2 tins of heinz for less. ..
My Mexican burrito had no lettuce or cheese as menu stated and the side salad had more taste.
Then the mixed grill still come with peas and no side of beans. ..nearly finished before they finally arrived. ..
Its a shame really as a beautiful setting but rubbish food.
Asked for well done stake come back for raw , re done charcoal

Ordered a steak to be cooked medium-well and it was barely cooked at all, the same for other members of our party their steaks were either over/under cooked majorly. Staff were very rude and their response when we explained our several issues was the offer of 4 drinks for those on our table of 9. We will not be returning and certainly wouldn’t recommend.

Sunday at 14:15 - busy and already waited 45 minutes waiting for a table (understandable). When we managed to get one that a previous group just left - we asked a waiter to clear the table for us. He took the plates - left the salt and leftover food on the table. When we asked for him to clear it up, his response was "the spray is over there" and walked off. Disgusting customer experience. Yet again.
Member of staff, young, glasses, very rude, when my Mother complained about her steak, young thin girl lovely, apologised. This young man, continued to argue the point that it's not Miller & Carter, what do we expect, disgusting behaviour, both my Parents are very upset by this behaviour, no apologies was given just attitude.
