What can I say.... this is the best food I have eaten. They couldn't do enough for us and the chef even came out to help me choose my main course! Words can't describe how amazing the food was. Went to The Old Bakehouse for my birthday meal and I can honestly say it was some of the best food I have ever had! Amazing service, the people who worked here were so polite and professional. They also surprised me and my family with some birthday brownies afterwards! I can't recommend this place enough :)

We've been a few times now since it opened, both for dinner and the odd cheeky breakfast. On every occasion, the food has been fabulous and the service has been great. Highly recommended!

We had a truly excellent meal here last night. Absolutely delicious food, really great quality and super tasty. We wouldn't hesitate returning here!

Popped in here for lunch one day last week whilst on holiday in Fishguard. We enjoyed it so much that we were pleased to able to eat there in the evening a few days later. Wow! We were not disappointed! Can't remember enjoying a meal as much as this before. Beautifully presented and tasted fabulous. Have to agree with another reviewer who compared it to Michelin starred restaurants. Fantastic service and good value for money too. So envious of the lucky folk of Fishguard who can eat there regularly. Unfortunately, it's a bit too far from Essex for us to do so!

Just had a lovely 3 course meal at The Old Bakehouse. The food was lovely, friendly staff and reasonable prices. No fuss, no waiting, lovely! Will definitely be returning.

I'd say this is Fishguard's Best Kept Secret, but with such good reviews and word-of-mouth it won't be for too much longer. Dishes were beautifully presented, generously portioned and meticulously executed. The smoked haddock on the potato 'risotto' was a quirky take on the classic version, beautifully moist and subtly smoked haddock was perfect with the beurre blanc- style sauce and the wild rice crispies were a satisfying contrast in textures and flavours. The duck confit's meltingly intense meat and crisp skin served in a red wine reduction with a silky potato puree was a lovely satisfying winter dish and among the vegetables were carrots and parsnips braised in butter and a memorably aromatic honey which I thought was from Italian chestnut pollen, but turned out to be a Pembrokeshire honey. Dan has a very light and deft touch and obviously cares a great deal about his food. This is not fast food, the dishes did take a considerable amount of time, but with a glass of refreshing sauvignon blanc and good conversation with Dan's partner who takes care of the front-of-house, for once I didn't mind waiting. Looking forward to experiencing another meal soon. Highly recommended.

Food fantastic , it was so.nice to take my daughter who is vegan to a resturant and have the chef come out and basically ask her what did she want to eat. Fab service and excellent quality food and wine . Thank you for a lovely evening.

Can't speak highly enough about the food here. Don't underestimate the little cafe cwtched into a corner of Fishguard square. The chefs food wouldn't taste out of place in a top London restaurant. Don't leave town without trying this definition of hidden gem :))

Bought 4 of Abbies amazing brownies today - so delicious and so moreish! Shared one with a lady in work who devoured it! So stunning - highly recommend!
