Great little cafe, great food and nice welcoming staff

Not overly busy as there is another cafe close by that is more of a visitor centre. The service is very good and the staff are very nice with half decent fare. Great view of the Vernwy dam wall that you would otherwise miss.

Suggest visitors check Trip Advisor reviews: we had a very similar experience to several poor reviews on there. We asked if we could have a bacon sandwich, to be told yes, we could have bacon or we could have sausage. We asked if we could have both, to be told no! We said we would be happy to pay extra, and the owner became quite rude, saying there is a menu for a reason and we can go elsewhere if we don't like it! He also refused to allow us to order a portion of chips on the side, even though we ordered other items that came with chips. The owner is nice on the surface and becomes aggressive and rude with no reason or warning. It made or whole group very uncomfortable.
