The Old Mill

This place has been refurbished since my last visit and looks so much better. Unfortunately the menu was not as appealing and what was on there was quite expensive to other restaurants I have eaten at. Wouldn't be my first choice to eat.

We’ve come here so often now it feels like a second home. The recent remodelling has changed the ambience for the better. The updated menu is great and with the salad cart and self serve drinks machine front and centre, the whole place is more accessible. The staff are their greatest asset. Hard working, friendly and providing excellent service. Cannot fault the food. The 4oz lean rump steak I had as an add on to my meal yesterday was superb and only £1.99! Where else can you get that?

Enjoyed as always , we are regular customers and any problems are dealt with courteously and quickly should they arise. Staff are all friendly, all in all a really nice place to go .

Nicer than most harvesters I have visited, really nice inside, food is good and if you visit between 2 and 5 you get a 30% discount off your food bill.

Food was left on the pass for to long. Staff just walking about so the food was a bit cold when it came, which was a shame because the food would have had a 5 star rating if it was warm. Then the waiter brought the wrong bill which was more than ours.

Had a meal with the wife tonight .my wife ordered steak but when she tried to cut it it was as tough as old boots ,and she found it very chewy and returned it .
My wife asked to talk to the manager about it and I couldn't believe how rude she was by saying to to my wife well i found it easy to cut , and just looked at my wife . My wife tried to explain that we have come out for a meal and now have ended up with nothing . That lovely (not) manager said there's nothing I can do.
We did not pay for that meal but the manager should no the customer comes first and should always be polite and nice. Not rude by basicly calling her a liar . We will be going else where from now on which is a shame as we have never had a problem before . The waitresses where nice and polite . I can't believe how someone can ruin a nice night

The staff are always welcoming. The food is always topnotch. The prices are always good. Even when they are busy, they take the time to ensure every customer is looked after.
The recent refurbishment has made the place lighter and more roomy.
It is the better of the two Harvesters in the area. In my opinion, that is down to the welcoming attitude of the staff as much as the standard of the food.

Do yourselves a favour drive to Bridgend harvester, food terrible, never had a good visit.... tried it 4 times, never ever again..... EVER!

Terrible food & overpriced AVOID or be disappointed

Got to be one of the worst meals I've ever had. Had the turkey xmas dinner. First it was cold the beans were hard as were the Carrots, the turkey had a tang to it and the gravy was like dish water left most of it as it was turning me sick I wouldn't give it any stars
