Avoid like the plague unless you are a local I guess. This place has gone down hill since our last visit. If I had the option of no stars I would have chosen it. Absolutely gutted by the way we were treated this evening from the moment we walked in. I had phoned and booked a table for 4 of us for 6pm. We were blatantly ignored by all the staff for about 10 minutes when we walked in. A lovely local lady managed to get the landlady's attention in the end and it was obvious she didn't really want to serve us. We were shown to our table and our drinks order was taken. About 5 minutes later our food order was taken. So we thought things might actually be okay. Unfortunately after about 25 minutes we still had no drinks and the atmosphere was strange so we decided rather than make a fuss just to quietly leave. I have to say this is such a shame as it used to be such a lovely pub. I did manage to visit the toilets while waiting for our drinks and I have to say I've see some cleaner public loo's in France. I guess we'll have to find another pub for our journeys home from Wales in the future.

Real cosy but dated pub offering a fair choice of food. Friendly staff and a real log fire for those chillier days.

Busy local pub/restaurant. Excellent local beer, and food. Had a 45 minute wait for food on Saturday early evening, but the food is served to order, and top quality. And plenty of it. Mixed grill was demolished, eventually. Menu not too expensive either.

Booked a table for my 60th Birthday about 3 months ago because we were being accompanied by our large and very friendly labradoodle but when we turned up for it last Saturday nobody knew anything about it! The staff did their best to accommodate us but it wasn't ideal, food wasn't as good as I was expecting (when you look at so many of the reviews for this place) but I will recommend the 'house red', it was excellent!

Been coming here for over 20 years - this time with 6 friends and it was as good as ever. Staff very helpful and friendly and food is superb. We will be back!

Lovely service. Nice little pub food was lovely

Went here as bridesmaid for my best friends wedding, the staff were extremely accommodating, allowing us to decorate much of the pub the night before and then helping to finish the decorating themselves on the day, to a good standard. Not to mention the food was great - especially the sticky toffee pudding!
