Live performance by local boy RHYS DAVIS & Band Davis (From Blackwood)is known for his anthemic style tunes with huge guitars and sing along hooks. From in your face tunes like "New York"to Ballards like "Falling" along with tasteful bluesy guitar lines.... It shouldn't take you long to see where this young singer songwriters inspiration lies. So if your a fan of guitar orientated music go check him out.
Hang 11:
Hang11 are a young rock/funk/blues trio hailing from the Rhondda and Rhymney Valleys of South Wales. They formed in September 2015 and since then have been bringing their own brand of rock with a bluesy funky edge to venues and festivals throughout South Wales and the South West.
Chopsy:
Chopsy are a new 3 piece band from Cardiff. With their indie vibe they are quickly making a name for themselves on the Cardiff music scene

You would have to try hard or be having a really bad day to find faults here. WONDERFUL warm welcome, great sound and lights, top notch staff, VERY good drinks prices. Clean toilets! Car parking. What a fantastic venue. We played there on Sat 31/3 and the place was bumping. Angie and the team went out of their way to help us and Phil the sound engineer made the job easy for us. Great sound and light and we can’t wait to come back and play. Mark The ManicPhonics Experience

Lovely staff, great bunch of guys, excellent atmosphere and if you’re gigging there, the sound is bang on!! Ange is a wonderful host and runs a tight ship there! Really looking forward to going there again in the future!

Went to The Patriot last night for the first time in ages! The place has changed greatly since last visit, they had an incredible new stage set up along with lighting, absolutely spectacular and the light show would give pink floyd a run for their money! The band playing there were Saints of Sin which used the stage to its full potential! Really glad to see such an awesome venue getting the support it deserves! Angela and Dean have poured their heart and souls into the venue and to see such a fantastic turnout last night was brilliant!!! Keep supporting this fantastic venue!!! It’s great to be back at the home of rock!!! �

Well what place need more of these places from the moment we walked in we were made welcome brilliant atmosphere and nice to see a ska band playing at a biker's club many thanks we'll be back.

We visited The Patriot last night for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it! Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and the band was fab. Angela went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out too. Lovely person, thank you. We will be coming back and highly recommended to anyone looking for a good night out and live music.

We have just come off stage opening for Kane’d on the Welsh leg of their UK Tour! Wow! What a venue. A huge thank you to Angela and everyone at The Patriot for giving us such a warm welcome! A definite ‘must play’ for any bands on the rock circuit today!

This is one awesome rock venue!! Hullabaloo (muse tribute) Love THE PATRIOT and were blown away by the facilities there... the staff were all very jind and accomadating!! Amazing rock bar in an age where rock bars are few and far between ... flying the flag of rock!!

The changes that have happened to The Patriot have improved the venue hugely for the perspective of the performing band. Great new stage, excellent sound and lighting, and well organised to boot. The lads in Rock Bottom look forward to returning in the not too distant future.

Super venue, made so by its incredibly friendly and welcoming owners and staff.

Excellent sound and stunning lighting in house tells you all you need to know about their passion for live music.

It was an honour to play on their stage which is attracting some big names too.... ��

Straight away the venue was extremely welcoming due to such friendly staff members. Probably the most welcomed I have ever felt in a bar/venue/or any place for that matter.

The venue itself has a lot of history, with a collection of ornaments, music posters and vinyls. True rock ‘n’ roll at home.

Followed by a great night full of music by bands Our Propaganda and Saints of Sin. I would love to return soon ��

Played here last night with the band I am in, and honestly we were treated so well, fed and watered! The venue itself is absolutely stunning, great stage and sound and the staff are sound. From the bottom of my heart, thanks for everything, hope to be back soon � �
