The Principal St David'S Hotel

I stayed in a king size room for one night. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was immaculate. Comfortable bed. Delicious wide spread breakfast. Beautiful views. Cannot fault this hotel.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. the breakfast is really nice. everything about the hotel is just nice friendly relaxed and willing to help. even to the bottles of water and apples as you get into the lift. the bar and restaurant are quite pricey but it is a 5star hotel. highly recommended.

Celebrated my wife's birthday at the Tempus at Tides restaurant here with friends from Cardiff. Really enjoyable night, food was excellent, service was excellent too, friendly and efficient but not obtrusive. The actual restaurant is big and airy with plenty of room between tables to feel intimate on your table. Not the cheapest place to eat in Cardiff but it is a 5 star hotel, so you expect that. Definitely will return for a special occasion when visiting Cardiff.

The service is very poor in the dining room. Have been waiting too much time for the drinks (it's better to have self service though). The music was extremely laud so all the people were laud too.
Food is poor (British breakfast).
The SPA is really great. There is an small indoor swimming pool and nice hot bath, sauna and very large gym.
The room is large but very lean and modest. Would expect a 5 stars hotel to have all accommodation and comfort in the room.
Rooms are large and the view is very nice but the hotel is 30 minutes away from the center were shopping and restaurants are.
In final I would conclude that the hotel don't worth the price.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. We stayed in a suite where the view was incredible. It was spotlessly clean, very spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The food was perfect! We also used the spa facilities which were really lovely with complimentary drinks. All in all, I highly recommend a stay here and I can't wait to go back.

If you want to see how the other half live. The staff were attentive and polite, the room was clean with a view was over the bay. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was lovely plenty of food with a good choice. We were attending a wedding and it was one of the most perfectly run days we have been to. The price of the room was reasonable considering this is a five star hotel. We could not faulty are stay here and we can see why they have five stars.

Love this hotel. Great views and attentive staff, breakfast was perfect. Spa clean and easy to access. Rooms spacious and well equipped, bed was very very comfy! Can't wait to return for the 3rd time!

We only stayed one night but had a brilliant time. We had our room upgraded and were given a late check out. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Views from our terrace were lovely, we looked over Cardiff bay and the nature area to the side. Best by far was the breakfast which was great quality and very fresh. The only snag was our room card stopped working at one point but it was replaced in minutes.

Great location right on the water front. Room seemed slightly dated but perfectly functional and clean. Staff and service is second to none, happy to do anything from park your car and bring your bags up to ironing a shirt. Really very helpful all round.
