The quality of this gastropub is consistently high. The food is very good, the service excellent, and the ambiance great.
Excellent food. Cosy atmosphere, lovely staff.
Excellent food, great beer. Very popular. 1st place we think of when we're hungry and in the area. Always available to fit us in when we need a table.
Really nice traditional pub with great food. It was extremely busy when we went and I now know why. Highly recommend!

Revisited this place and still find it charming and nice. Food was still good!

A nice traditional looking pub, serving excellent food! Came here for an evening meal on Saturday (definitely make a reservation as it gets busy!) and left away very happy! I had the excellent smoked breast of duck which was gorgeous on the taste buds. My mains of shoulder of lamb came surprisingly deboned. The root vegetables that came with it was so-so.. but the creamed leeks really complimented the dish well. A friend had the plaice on spinach and it just smelled and looked heavenly. Didn't stay for desserts though as we had other plans. Lovely place and a definite return. Staff were helpful and pleasant too.
Lovely food, just a shame they don't have a proper children's menu rather than having to choose a smaller version of a few of the main menu meals.
Beautiful food, fab staff comfortable relaxing environment. Enjoyed every mouthful
Almost an 'old fashioned traditional village pub' that serves a traditional and modern menu in a warm friendly environment. Great outside seating.
