Lively place at the weekend. Good food and drink selection. Large areas and roomy

Not a bad place to stay for a night. We slept quite comfotably. Noise was not an issue for us as we are quite heavy sleepers (plus the window was shut as it was cold out). My only grumble was that the shower could of had a bit more power. But all in all a good night. Hope to return in the future.

Very good central location in Newport but be aware you are staying above a pub that on certain nights becomes a night club where the music continues till 02.00 your sleep may be disturbed.

Went with a mate who was in a wheelchair. Could not get in the front, too many steps. So went to the side disabled door and roung the bell several times. No one answered, so I walked into the front door and opened the side door myself. Only to find the lift that takes you up or down to the bars was not working. Not good.

Absolutely brilliant for a couple of drinks with your friends. Provides great entertainment with the multiple televisions around the hotel. Quiet and friendly environment with great staff also.

Well it's a good place - historic. My salad had severely wilted lettuce and was slimy. My companions soup was luke warm and not very nice. Nice relaxed place to be.

My sister and I went into this wetherspoon pub for a meal of fish an chips! We have eaten this meal in various wetherspoon s and they have always been good! But not this pub! Tasteless, hardly any fish and all batter! Bland tasteless chips with a splodge of mushy peas! Absolutely dreadful! I told the waitress when she inquired whether we had enjoyed our meal and she said she would mention our comments!Did anyone come to discuss our comments! Of course they didn't!!!!

We decided to have breakfast here after staying close by and with Wetherspoons you always usually know what you are going to get. Having eaten in a lot of Spoons I'm always happy but here although the initial service was good, food took an age to arrive and was cold. One of our maps was sent back as was too cold to eat. This was replaced with the same half eaten egg and still cold. Porridge was 4 lumps in a lake of milk. Maybe it was an off day. I hope so!
