Wonderful food great service very homely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Great meal. Had whitebait and jacket. Onion rings were something special. Really friendly staff and locals. Dogs welcome. Great start and end to a fabulous walk.

New management so time will tell. Lovely old pub. "Update" Management settled in with nice family and a local lad. Great food and drink

What a great discovery! We live in Mid-Wales and just tried this place driving past as friends had recommended it to us a while back. The staff were very friendly but the food was incredible, the best burgers ever,seriously! Homemade and heaps of delicious extras. The vegetarian meal - pasta in a rich and tasty tomato sauce - was wonderful. A lot of care goes into this place and I can happily rate it as 5 star. We will be back soon.

we had a meal in this pub recently i have to say the meal was fine though very small portions i thought, i had the steak and this was nearly 20 pounds .
My gripe with the pub has to be the service we received i asked to give a food order at 5.55pm only to be told i cannot until 6pm so at 6pm i tried to get to the bar to order my food , it was manic all people trying to order at the same time why can't the staff take a order but inform you the kitchen does not open till 6 that would be fine.

The result was people waiting for ages for food as orders got mixed up and one local chap losing his temper over it using a few choice words .

it would make sense at 5pm or even 5.30 pm but surely it would make more sense just to take orders while the pub is reasonably quiet so then more prepared for the six o clock onslaught

Lovely Sunday lunch , with nicely cooked veg . Had a liqueur coffee afterwards which was amazing . We only had one course , having saved ourselves for dessert, and then were too full to manage one ! Well worth a visit !
