The Red Lion

best Guinness I have had in a long time, cosy, friendly, lovely home cooked food.

I'm sure this place is great.... However the phone number on the website is for another red lion pub 30 mins away so when we arrived for our lunch as a group of 8 we were told we had no booking. Another hour of driving around trying to find somewhere we had a duff lunch somewhere else. It transpired there is another Red Lion 30 mins away and they know this pub has the wrong number on the website and have tried several times to resolve this. Why they could not tell us this.... So one star for A) having the number of another pub with the same name on your website and B) for not telling us what our mistake was and trying to send us to a pub 100 miles away.

Shalom - what a brilliant place - old drovers place - inside takes you back to the past- local beers 1st class - landlord and son - nice , friendly and polite - very popular establishment - I stayed with friends - 100yds away - so not far to wander down - car parking - all in all - no faults - on my list of great places to visit jh

Good food, location, and service. Perfect place for some lunch on a long journey!

Stopped at this place just by chance, in the middle of nowhere, it soon got busy though and I know why now, lovely old pub, great food and service and reasonable prices too, a little gem indeed!!

We stopped here today after a 2 hour drive and the food is fantastic. Helen the lady who served us was very friendly and helpful. Will definately call again
