Best carvery ever you almost need another plate to put the veg on and the suits of armour and swords and shields give the place a good country pub feel

The £12 lunch special for two was amazing value and extremely tasty. We went for the liver & Onions/Chicken & Ham pie. Both we freshly cooked, well presented and full of flavour. All the staff are friendly and the selection of beer excellent. Nice to visit an authentic pub that serves great food and drink without the inflated prices of the deadful gasto_pubs that are blight on the landscape. Do yourself a favour and visit The Red Lion for home cooked proper food and a warm welcome. Excellent!!

Simply the best Sunday lunch I've ever had. 6 different meats covering a large plate. Triple cooked crispy parsnips. Fantastic gravy. Just one tip. Tell chef if you don't want a huge portion. Oh, the real ale is great too.

Fantastic staff, very helpful and friendly, lovely pub downstairs, great breakfast. I wasn't happy with my room though. I felt it was unfinished, tatty, TV not working (the girl explained it needed a lead)... No bin in my room. I would visit again if I got a better room, credit to the staff!

Came here for an evening meal and was not disappointed. The portions are large and delicious and the service was good and friendly. A really nice selection of drinks too. Thoroughly recommend it.

Lovely Pub. Cowl served when the rugby is on. very delishes served with stunning bread and jersey cow butter. very cosy pub. great beers and ales. great vibe
