A little someone cant stop swimming!
Even on dry land! 😂😍

An evening showcase event giving pet owners the opportunity to come down, have a glass of prosecco (or two..) and explore our centre, the array of services within and of course meet our wonderful and extremely talented team!
We have the following;
1) Imogen from Free Movement Physiotherapy will be there showcasing her techniques and also discuss the suitability and benefits of Physiotherapy for your pet.
... 2) Danielle our Hydrotherapist will be giving in depth discussions on the properties, benefits, contraindications and aims of Hydrotherapy.
3) The grand opening of the Mucky Pup Photography studio! Sarah will be there to showcase her portfolio and will also be handing out exclusive offers to all attendees!
4) Finger Buffet and welcome Prosecco.
5) Gift bags for all atendees including exclusive offers for in-house services, gift vouchers and discounts from our partners, chronic pain advice leaflets, treats (for the furry visitors) and much more!

We have sadly had to pack up and leave the Dogs Day event due to the horrendous weather!! ☔️ ☔️ There are still lots of other trade stalls there, until 3pm ❤️

Last weekend Imogen took Hector into the pool for a Leisure swim! He wasnt what we would call a natural swimmer..

TED NEEDS YOUR HELP!!
Little Ted is a very special wonky donkey who attends our centre weekly for both Hydrotherapy and Physiotherapy and he has been with us since we opened our doors back in May.
At only 4 months old he underwent surgery on his Knee but now requires further surgery..... Due to the nature of his condition, being genetic, his owners were unable to insure him.
If you are able to help in anyway possible, Ted's mum would be very grateful (as would we)

HYDROTHERAPY! CASSIE - COLLIE X - 9YRS
The very beautiful Cassie was referred to our centre for Hydrotherapy to reduce the symptoms associated with Arthritis.
... GAIT: Cassie has arthritic hips and mum noticed that she began bunny hopping and was reluctant to run while out with her wolf pack. Although the arthritis is bilateral, she has less range of movement in her left as a result of the arthritic changes.
She has already shown great improvement and I really do look forward to seeing Cassie on the weekends.. She is such a beautiful, gentle girl.

Not bad for a second session at all...
But he still had to be picked and placed into the pool 🤔❤️

Danielle has this week been discussing the pros and cons of weekly/monthly Hydrotherapy sessions in severely Arthritic patients & presented a Case Study based on a 14yr old Labrador.
The peaks and troughs are much more exaggerated when given monthly treatments, as you can see from the illustration below.

Dani and Owain are fab, Ted loves them, even though he hates the pool! , but they have persevered and tried to make it as fun as possible, to help him in his recovery from knee surgery. The facilities are top notch, and they have excellent communication between my vet with updates on his progress.

Brilliant facilities and wonderful staff - nothing is too much trouble, more than happy to answer questions, always hands on with Charlie encouraging and praising him when he’s in the pool and Danielle/Owain treat him like their own. Hydrotherapy is such fantastic exercise for dogs with and without health troubles and we definitely recommend The Retreat for anyone considering hydro for their dogs. Charlie has weekly sessions and we both look forward to them �

Brilliant facilities and staff! Luna has been doing the fitness swims for a few weeks now and has gone from being a little weary of the water to jumping in with no float jacket... Her confidence has grown loads and she gets so excited for her ‘swimming lessons’ every week now! Would definitely recommend!
