3rd time we have been.. the first year food was fantastic, last time and this year food was not up to standard.. 2 medium rare steaks, very fatty, one lasagne (too much cheese apparently) one children’s burger ordered but wasn’t available so substituted for sausage which also wasn’t great..
Staying locally, so no other options, but won’t be rushing back for food..

Went for homemade steak with alle pie and pizza. First dish was reasonably sized and tasted well but pizza to be avoided... baked from frozen with some toppings added in the process. Nice staff and cosy interior. Food a bit over prized.

Cosy surroundings and friendly staff. Food was adequate as apposed to appertising. Great view from the car park though

Easily the worst pub meal I've had in the UK. Came here from a nearby campsite on a cool and rainy evening so really wanted a big warm meal. The dining area was cold. And the Welsh Hot Pot I got was the size of a large mug with two potatoes in it - one of them with a raw spot in the middle. The menu said everything came with a choice of potatoes on the side but the bar staff said this one didn't because of all the veg in it. Pffft! I got one slice of cheap white bread cut diagonally and served with a tiny pat of runny butter. My wife ordered the mushroom stroganoff which was also disgusting. I'm pretty sure this was button mushrooms, barely cooked in a lightly creamed tomato soup. Oh and it had grey peas and soggy chips on the side. So awful!! And £21 quid for these and one pint of cider. Thoroughly ruined my evening.

Came here on the May Bank holiday Weekend have been several times before and always loved the place, Whilst the food was still good i didn't think the menu was great, i ordered and paid for food at the bar and paid on a card, the paper receipt didn't print out but i was sure the payment had gone through as it didn't say declined, about 20 mins later i was asked to pay again as they said they had looked and the payment hadn't gone through. The lady did give me a business card and said if there were any issues to contact them, after checking my bank i found that 2 payments had come out for £75.00 i have phoned and left a message and had no response and have phoned daily since but the phone isn't even being answered, what a shame as we always loved this place. i have had to set up a dispute with the bank to get my money back.

Arrived as a group of 5 on Easter Saturday evening. We were celebrating a family get together. We arrived, were seated and ordered our food at about 7.30. By about 8.10 we were still waiting for our food, and had to ask when we might expect to eat. A reply of, "it's on its way" was optimistic, given it was another 30 minutes before the first dish was served and almost 40 before everyone at the table was able to start, by which time the earlier served food was getting cold.
The manageress appeared later to ask how we had enjoyed the meal. When we mentioned the delay, this was dismissed with a shrug and an excuse that they had served over 200 meals that evening.
I suggested that if they were aware of being overwhelmed by the volume of clientele we might have been warned of the delay. This was met by an excuse that the bar staff were to blame.
Whilst the food was good I would not recommend this place on any evening where there might be more than one or two people present as they are obviously unable to cope with any numbers. I would also suggest that a manager should take responsibility for their establishment rather than blame the number of meals they are serving or their staff. This is unprofessional and poor management practice.
The manageress should have been aware of the growing crisis in her establishment given that she appeared to have a table reserved for her sole use, next to the bar, where she could entertain over a glass of wine.

Good food, reasonably priced. Will be a nice place when the alterations are finished.

We love soending an evening here whilst visiting our log cabin which is close by on the holiday village. Until last year we would have highly recommended thia place for the food and drinks but last time we visited they were having one or two problems which by all accounts appear to have sorted . We will be visiting again this year sonlets hope so. One tiny little request. Please please please put the comfy sofas back in the bar area. The place was much more welcoming and it certainly encouraged us to stay longer so buying more drinks. Happy days.
