After one of their shoplifting sessions, Osamu and his son come across a little girl in the freezing cold. At first reluctant to shelter the girl, Osamu’s wife agrees to take care of her after learning of the hardships she faces. Although the family is poor, and barely makes enough money through petty crime to survive, they seem to live happily together, until an unforeseen incident reveals hidden secrets and shakes the bonds that unite them.
Full of emotion and characters of unassuming depth, this superb family drama from Kore-eda (Nobody Knows) won the Palme d’Or at Cannes in 2018.

What happens with Cinderella and Prince Charming after their Happy Everafter
Buttons Undone! is a big bawdy barrel of laughs and although aimed at over 18’s, it doesn’t contain any crude four-letter words, as the humour is unashamedly in the Great British ‘Carry On’ tradition of rib-tickling double entendres and innuendo.
So if you’re broad- minded and fancy a fun night out that turns traditional pantomime upside down to reveal its frilly bloomers hiding underneath, this is d...efinitely a show you won’t want to miss.
And you know you’re in a safe pair of hands when the frantic frolics and saucy shenanigans happening on stage are held together by Wales’ undisputed King of Comedy Owen Money as Buttons.
Oh yes it is!

We haven't been to see this years show yet but do go every year and love it! This year the staff/customer service has been second to none!! We have had to rearrange and the staff were understanding and very helpful. 10/10 Riverfront you have out done yourselves THANK YOU.

User

Very enjoyable aftenoon. The complementary popcorn was a nice touch.

User

Took my son and a few of his friends for his birthday to see The Goonies.

We all had a fab time. The cinema was set out with tables and chairs which made the experience unique and we all enjoyed it.

After the show we arranged to have birthday cake and drinks in the cafe. All the staff were very helpful and it made my sons birthday very special. Thanks to all the staff .

User

Took baby to the river front to watch Duck Duck Goose and she loved it!!! Very affordable at 2.50 and very family centered so doesn't matter much if your child gets excited as mine did. They also have a lovely little cafe and we also attended the tots music and arts class they did. Even though shes only two baby also enjoyed the little art gallery which at the time was displaying up close photographs of felt projects from different angles along with the original felt pieces. Will certainly be frequently checking whats on at the river front as we enjoyed it also.

User

The Riverfront is a lovely place to go to, our first time last night. The act may not have been to our greatest liking but the facilities were great.

I liked the way it seemed a small and intimate space that we visited but the whole centre offers so much more.

If an event came up again at The Riverfront I wouldn’t hesitate to say yes!

User

I was happy to go and see my granddaughter the place was clean and tidy and the toilets were to x

User

Have not been to The Riverfront since seeing the brilliant pantomime 'Aladdin' this Xmas just gone. We went to see 'Coco' this time as a family of four travelling from Cardiff. I love this place. The shows are always fantastic value for families. Staff unbelievably helpful and cheerful and cafe serves affordable food. Parking is close so no long walks to the theatre. As a city centre venue I can't fault it and we'll be back again.

User

Great venue...I’ve seen several shows here and they’ve all been good quality! Looking forward to the Bee Gees tribute and George Michael tribute next month

User

Fantastic show-Rhyddian Roberts and Jonathan Ansell. A lovely little theatre and quick at the bar at half time ďż˝

User

Been there few time as there last night c a show

User

A great evening watching Ballet Cymru's Cinderella. We had a great view. And it was wonderful to see so many young people there. A triumph!

User

A fabulous night out. One women sex in the city was amazing. Lovely venue, great staff from box office, FOH and the lovely lady from the cafĂŠ that helped me when I decided to wear my coffee. I will be back Thank you Gemma.

User

We are lucky to have a a facility like this on our doorstep. Variety of shows for all ages, exhibitions, cinema and activities. Daughter has been to several workshops which she has loved from animation to sewing. Friendly staff and reasonable cafe.

User

Loved Lucy Worsley on Jane Austin, but the sound quality was poor. Her microphone was set up with too much bass, if that’s possible, so it was difficult to hear everything she said. An elderly lady sitting near us missed out on a lot of the presentation.

User

Fantastic panto of aladdin, fantastic polite service from the Riverside but unfortunately we went on the night with a youth club and the whole balcony paid for their silly antics. Shouting, learing, being rude. Enjoy yourselves yes but the leaders of who ever were in charge should have asked then to calm down. At the interval they were running around like wild animals! We were a few rows in front, feel sorry for the families directly by them!

User

Just got in from watching the Best of Motown Show at the Riverfront in Newport. Just male singers - so no Diana Ross etc. Hardly the best of Motown. The show was spoilt for me by the number of inconsiderate idiots who cannot seem to be able to leave their mobiles switched off for a couple of hours. Should be banned in theatres full stop. The ushers did their best to stop people taking photos and videos - some with flash but I found it very distracting.

User

watched the woods torch theatre on Wednesday and what a fantastic top class production ! Full of emotion brilliant acting1 Always a joy to come to the helpful riverfont.more please!

User

took my 7 year old and 4 year old to the ' Free Hoola Hoop Workshop' this evening. Arrived at the Box office and they did not seem to have a clue what or where it was happening!! ( booked tickets with the box office and picked them up on Wednesday from the box office!!) Eventually directed to the correct place to then be informed that tonight is not a ' Hoola Hoop workshop' as advertised but a practice run for the flash mob at Big Splash tomorrow!!!!! I now have a very dissapointed 7 year old and a very upset 4 year old!!! Very poor customer service!!!
