My 5 stars go to Kaz ( the fixer )

Big thank you for sorting out all my problems,

I can only imagine the complaints department at the mint would be on it’s knees if it wasn’t for Kaz.

He or she ? should get a big pat on the back from the bosses.

User

Love the website. It's a place I can trust to get the best quality and genuine products. A bit on the expensive side though

User

I have been a customer with The London Mint for a little while now and I have never had any problems. I have communications with them on occasions. I spoke to a young man called Finn and he was lovely, we had a good old chinwag and a laugh, he was really canny.

I also dealt with a lady called Katherine and she was lovely too, she helped me set up my online payment scheme,n thank you Katherine.

My latest call was today and I spoke to Christian, Christian you made my day, you made me smile and made me feel more than just another customer.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the staff at the other end of the phone line @ the Royal mint. You are really a pleasure to do business with.

User

Brilliant experience for the family , loved the spy theme worksheets this week , factory tour, exhibition and staff were really helpful. Well worth a visit as learnt so much on the tour and the gentleman we had on the tour today was so knowledgeable, brought the tour to life with visual and interestung facts . My son will treasure the coin he struck and brilliant end to the tour he won a prize on the open the safe ticket after completing his spy worksheets . Cafe was lovely and nice to sit down and have a drink.

User

Not normally had an issue with royal mint until ordering 3 2017 Beatrix potter albums. Ordered at the end of feb and money was took 4/5 days later. Now it’s a month later and still not had any albums. Get told they are being picked and will be dispatched shortly. Don’t know how these can take so long as they are last years albums and have never been out of stock or awaiting stock. Be careful what you order and don’t be fobbed off. Be prepared to wait for at least 30 min ringing up as well. Not a happy bunny

User

Great selection of products for collectors and I have no complaints about the quality when they arrive, but the ordering process needs major improvements! I cannot order online since the website was revamped and whilst the staff are very helpful when ordering over the phone, it takes so long to get through (I’ve literally been held in a queue for 45 mins recently) it’s really off-putting. I’m also understanding of the recent high demand with all the new coin releases but it has taken 3 weeks to receive my order for items that were in stock when I ordered them. There’s no excuse for such slow service when customers are paying a lot of money up front.

User

I recently bought the A to Z set and for £52 all you get is coins in a bag I paid for the collectors album (an extra £9.90) and the coins barely fitted in the flimsy plastic holders and the album had no description to it just pictures... Very disappointing my coins scratched! This is the frist & last time I buy any sets from royal mint very poor I have only given two stars coz before this i have brought the odd coin and they always come with lovely covers protected and in brillant quailty i sadly thought this set would be the same gutted coz i have since found a better seller were the coins are all protected in cases a proper display folder plus and extra coin! Lesson Learned

User

Very poor indeed. I've been a collector for many years and have returned to the website to purchase four times now and each time it's down. Either the shareholders or Adam Lawrence needs to address this as the loyal customer base is shrinking daily. I'm disgusted at the way the new 10p cash cow has been milked (little plastic bags "so you can fill your albums" collectors are only interested in the sealed packets.

For the first time I am thinking about just selling my coins not collecting.

Well done!

User

Ordered the full 10p coin collection for my dad's 80th birthday - he's collected coins all his life. Not only have I received it 1 month after his birthday (today), each coin is in a little see through bag! At £52 for £2.60 worth of coins I expected them to each have a little card with something about their design. What a rip off! Would give minus stars if possible.

User

My order was placed over a month ago and I'm still waiting for it to ship. I contacted customer service via email 3 times and the issue has not been resolved. Last email was sent 7 days ago and I'm still waiting for a response. Serious issues with order fulfillment and customer service!

User

I’ve been a coin collector for about three years loved seeing and collecting all the different coins in change and from yourselves..

Since you’ve changed your website I can only say how you’ve let your standards slip dramatically!

From looking at the revenue you receive from the yearly potter releases to the stamp your own Isaac newton 2018 and now the ten pence pieces I thought the ship would be sailing smoothly not sinking!!

Website crashes(poor excuse)with the income you receive can’t you plan knowing for the last two years the site goes down with a popular coin release?

Also I tried to purchase the new red arrow silver proof coin,it added to my basket then would let me pay for it.

I’ve spent a lot of money collecting old and new coins as do a lot of fellow collectors I know on different selling pages on Facebook and I can assure you at least 90 percent of them are completely fed up of the poor service your providing.

You can’t even get through to anyone over the phone unless your prepared to wait on hold for 50 plus minutes.

Shocking really for an establishment like yourselves.

User

Incredibly poor service from customer team when chasing them for a missing order: "you will just have to wait", also poor communication from them about a previously missing order that never arrived.

User

I have just received my order of the complete uncirculated set of A-Z 10pence coins and can honestly say I have never felt so ripped off in all my life ! I am an avid coin collector and spend a substantial amount every year with the royal mint on uncirculated British coins which up until now I have been happy with, all are either boxed or on cardboard presentation sealed packs so imagine my disbelief when these coins arrived in zipped packets !! It had taken 6 weeks for them to be "picked"and cost me £52.00 for £2.60 worth of coins which have basically been took out of a stockpile and put in zipped bags ! Absolute joke Absolute disgrace and the biggest rip off ever

User

Extremely POOR customer service, I had purchased a "Lunar Year of the Dog 2018 - UK 5oz Silver Proof Coin" on 7, March 2018. The parcel was never deliver to the address and returned to UK according the Royal Mail tracking system show. I had sent an inquiry to Royal Mint Customer Service immediately by email on 27th, March 2018 and get the only response on 1st, April 2018 as below:

“The order was returned to us as was unable to complete the delivery please confirm full delivery address and we will resend.”

Unfortunately, I did not receive any feedback from Royal Mint after provided the delivery address again. Even I send couples of emails or submit inquiry form in your website asking for any status update. Now, I'm absolutely disappointed and I have no choice to put this into public to let everyone knows how Royal Mint customer service behave and think twice before make any purchase from them.

User

Display case took forever to arrive with no communication. No one has even seen the new 10p s in the area which I live. Contacted customer services, they couldn't care less about the issue, just seen a stock piled pre written answer. Not interested in providing a good service./ product only in taking your money. Judging by other reviews they are upsetting a lot of customers. I will never order again from them.

User

Disgusting i would not order off them not received my order off them which i order April phone a few time to be told they would sort it it cost me 5pound in calls. Phone up last week asking for a refund still not had it

User

Disappointing 10p folder order:

What has happened to the quality of your products, I have just bought 2 10p hunt folders expecting them to be made like the others I have, and what has turned up I could of made better myself, flimsy card, folder does not stay closed, rubbish thin plastic coin holders with no discription of the coin just a picture. As for the coins, I thought they would come with a cardboard back and in a clear sealed pack, as per previous orders and they showed up in a very small zip lock bag. Some of these items were for a birthday gift. Was shocked at the pm you sent back, was basically "well return it then". I have purchased numerous items from you over the years but after this I will never make another one. P.s £5 for postage!

User

Being loyal to Royal Mint and going directly to them to buy the new 10p coins on the 1st March you would expect to receive the coins before being able to get them on line. "Wrong" buying them direct from RM you wait for one month, your not told that when you order. Buy them on line from a certain supplier and you will get them in a week. If you want loyal customers to keep coming back RM you need to look after them.
