The Royal Victoria Hotel

Just come home from a 3 night stay. This is the 3rd time my husband and I have stayed here and we love it. It may not be The Ritz or similar hotel, but the rooms are clean and welcoming. The views, stunning. The staff are very polite. The one down side is the food, or lack of provision for people with food intolerances. We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend it, although, as I said it's not The Ritz, but if you're there for a relaxing time, then go for it!

I really wanted to give this hotel a higher rating. But although it is very nice it lacks polish. The staff were very polite and helpful especially in the dining rooms. The food at breakfast and the pizza were amazing but the rest wasn't too good. The room on first look was really nice, but on looking closer, there were cobwebs on the light fittings and around the furniture, damp around the window frames and the bathroom needed a bit of TLC in that the tiles needed a good scrub. The bathroom could have probably benefitted from a refit in all honesty. We also had a terrible view of some roofs and a skylight from our window which was disappointing considering the spectacular scenery surrounding the place. It looks like someone tried really hard to get this place spot on about 5 years ago but hasn't been able to maintain the standard. Although we visited on a popular weekend I don't think it was worth the money we paid.

I'd say it's worth noting that this is a three star establishment even though the prices don't reflect that. The location is superb, the room smelled a little of years of smokers frequenting it. That said I think we'll be back but hopefully at a more reflective rate.

A fantastic find, beautiful room, very comfortable, superb views from our bedroom window. Food during our stay was delicious & staff very helpful & friendly. We will be recommending the hotel to friends & family. We can't wait to come back again soon.

11 of us stayed at this hotel last week. Very friendly hotel receptionists. I left my mobile charger at this hotel and they very kindly sent it on to me after i had spoken to them. The rooms were great and the grounds were very nice also. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family. Well done to you all .

We were pleasantly surprised during our two night, all inclusive, stay. Room was comfortable and clean, food was excellent although we didn't get chance to sample the soup and sandwiches at lunchtime as we were out and about, reasonable house wines.
The communal areas were a little tired and my wife said the ladies loos were a bit dirty hence four stars.

Really nice Hotel great staff! Recently​ refurbished. Great location from trekking up Snowdon and other sites in North Wales

Probably could do with a bit of an update. Floorboards in our room were very creaky and you can hear people in the hall way. Beds were comfy and and the shower wasn't too bad (although it sprayed in a few random directions!) Absolutely lovely food though so would highly recommend staying for dinner.

Location is great for anyone hoping to go up Mount Snowdon, situated not far from the start of one of the paths. Some of the decor feels a bit dated but the rooms are comfortable and, unusually in a hotel of this age, everything worked. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I'd stay again.
