We called in for dinner on a Sunday, one of the only places we could find serving food!! We ordered a Mixed Grill and Fish Chips and mushy peas, drinks. Sat in the rear part of the Pub. Atmosphere was a little subdued poor lighting and very old fashioned furniture particularly in a rear part. Decor was tried looking. Food was well presented and plentiful. Fish and chips were very good, however the piece of steak on my Mix Grill was for the 'old shoe' type. On bringing this to the servers attention was quickly replaced with a very nice steak and apologies. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity provided

Friendly staff & good portions of home made food served promptly, although we visited out of season, still plenty of local folk, good atmosphere

A great spot if you have kids as there's a park just over the road.
The food and service was very good.
I would go early as it got very full after 7pm and people were coming in a leaving as it has very limited space.
