The Shipwright Inn and the staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent, tasty, hot and good size portions.

Excellent pub. Nice selection of drinks, including local ales and cider.

Food is superb, very tasty with a selection of vegetarian and gluten free options, if required. Proper home-cooked food too, no frozen chips.

Music was generally eighties and classic rock, but not too loud, so you can still hold a conversation easily.

Staff were very friendly which gave the pub a really welcoming feel. It's quite a cosy little place too, so it was always reasonably busy without being rammed.

We always got a table, but evening meals are especially popular, so worth booking ahead if you can.

Can't recommend enough. Give it a try.

Well worth a visit. Food was delicious and staff were friendly, welcoming. Just what we needed after a long ferry journey.

Had to travel to Wales for business....not a local found the pub by chance felt totally at home the couple that run the The Shipwright inn came across as caring landlords hard to find now days
Ordered pork and leek sausages mash potatoes peas and onion gravy ....the sausages where lovely and the mash creamy and smooth...the whole meal was lovelly....and the amount of food you get WOW!
Put it this way it's a shame I live 4hrs away or I would be back every week
