Went here for food based on a friend's recommendation. It was a delicious meal with high quality produce and cooked perfectly. I'm ashamed to say I couldn't finish the gammon as it was that big a cut. Great service, and friendly too. Lots of nice local ales to try too so if you're passing by definitely pop in!

One of the best Sunday lunches around. Starters are a meal in themselves, £10.95 for a perfect sunday lunch is a bargain. The girls who work here are polite, friendly and always happy to help. Loads of nibbles on the bar like pork pies, onion bhaji, cheese, pickles, meat platter etc. Sport on tv, plenty of room to park makes it very hard to beat. Spot on.

Quiet location. Polite staff. Well cooked food, good range of dishes on the menu, including a few different veggie options.

The Sunday roast was the best I've ever had. Beef cooked to perfection, plenty of lovely vegetables and gravy. Had 3 courses, and starters and desert was also fantastic. The staff are also the most attentative and pleasant. Can't wait to return to try a bar meal.

An excellent public house, reliably open midday until late. Family run by James & Jay. Friendly staff, English & Welsh spoken. A good crowd of friendly local regulars, supplemented by those who regularly travel here from further afield, and a steady influx of visitors to the area.
This pub is regularly featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide having routinely served at least one varying real ale by gravity from the cask for over thirty years. Real cider is always on offer, and there are plans to install beer engines to increase the range of well kept ale offered.
Good homemade food offered 12-3 & 6-9pm every day except Sunday evening. Fresh fish Thursdays usually.
Separate bar and restaurant areas. Major sporting events shown in the bar, where dogs are welcome. Food can be ordered to be taken in the bar or outdoors, as well as in the restaurant.
Close to the main A48 (which was designated Euro-route 2) -- westbound take the first turn left after Cross Hands roundabout. On-site accommodation not presently available. The Cross Hands Travel-Lodge is nearby, motorhomes can use the car park by arrangement.
