The Standing Stones

Mediocre pub grub, and being seated at a table in the middle of the the floor, right next to the toilets did nothing for my appetite - the smell of disinfectant was pretty off-putting. The staff were friendly and attentive however - the saving grace of the place.

The water was great, that arrived 25 minutes after ordering our food, and that's not even the best bit! The food was absolutely atrocious! I it arrived 35 minutes after ordering, it was not even something i would feed my dogs! The service by was shocking, except bar one girl. Upon mentioning that the food was not to standard, the head waitress who seemed to be the head???? Came over and finger bashed my unedable feed!! Needless to say avoid this establishment on any given day that might be busy, you will be sorely disappointed if your choice is the later. Oh and mcdonalds nuggets would have been better

Arrived on a 2-4-1 day & filled our boots for a really good price. Quiet & early when we arrived, but by early evening things were more lively. Staff were lovely, food was quick to arrive and tasty with-it.
Very nice play area outside, with some great games! A nice play space for little-ones inside, with more lively wooden games.
Other reviewers may have had less than a great time, I'd recommend they tried again, I will. This place was great.

Arrived on time for a reservation for 6. When booked said we were coming for pizza.

Once seated, told there were no pizzas and there would be a 45 minute delay for food.

I can only assume that somewhere in this restaurant is a representative from both Social Services and the drug counselling services. Or indeed a dealer.

Avoid. Unless you need a Giro and/or class A drugs.

Good food more often than not and a friendly service nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Good facilities and play area for the children. Would recommend as a great place for families as you're made welcome there.

Sat outside in the sunshine with my hubby enjoying fish n chips n cold drinks. Bliss. Good service and good food once again. Definitely *****

Shocking!
Went with my boyfriend and 2 children.

First ordered Sirloin Steak and wasn't available, fair enough ordered something else.

My daughters ordered off the children's menu: Sausage and Chips and Burger and Chips.

When the server brought the food Chicken Strips were brought over. I told the server we didn't order that to be then told they had no Sausages - they didn't ask if the alternative was okay. So my daughter was sat there with no food.

Upon looking at my other daughters food the burger was inedible, burnt and snapped in half like it had been recooked, reheated. Offered her more Bacon ?!

I ordered the Chicken and Ribs which is usually great but today the Chicken was tiny and I could tell the Ribs had been microwaved.

£40 for a disgusting meal, families around were making the same comments. I can't believe the Chef even let that food go out. Wasn't any discount either.

I can not fault the Server's, it wasn't their fault as I'm guessing they don't like challenging or bringing the food back.

Good quality food for the price but very poor service
