Wonderful treasure trove of a place with delicious food!!�

When I ordered mushrooms on toast .. I completely underestimated what appeared at our table .. beautifully tasting .. on yummy granary bread .. just delicious!!



We then ordered the cheesecake .. and oh .. my .. goodness .. the taste was just delicious and so light with scrummy biscuit base! !



Would love to visit again!!

We visited yesterday to celebrate Easter together and we had a wonderful visit. A lovely table with a view and fabulous service throughout. We had the sharing platter and it was delicious and very generous. I travel through the area regularly for work and will definitely visit again. Many thanks!

We had a lovely lunch at the sugar plum tea rooms very friendly and helpful staff the mushrooms on toast and the Welsh rarebit were wonderful according to my husband and daughter, we shall visit again when shopping in Ruthin!

Thanks so much once again Sugar plum for a wonderful afternoon Tea, the service and staff where fantastic as always and very accomadating, our whole party loved it and can't wait to come back very soon xxx

So love this place.. staff were lovely, my salad was fabulous, just love the vintage retro deco. Such a friendly feel to the whole place.

A shopping area called Homewood Bound Collections full of such beautiful interesting things and not forgetting of course they stock Cath Kidston! What more could i ask for? Well they could move.... and be my neighbours. �

My daughter and I had a lovely welcome yesterday and afternoon tea with prosecco was delicious,would thoroughly recommend it.Thankyou to all the lovely staff.

Lovely birthday lunch here today with my daughter and two year old granddaughter. Our lunches were beautiful , a club sandwich and soup and sandwich. Lovely portion of baked beans and fresh toast for our toddler, no need ever for horrible pre formed chicken , fish and greasy chips . The cakes were beautiful generous portions sad we were unable to finish them . My granddaughter enjoyed sharing my cauliflower and cheese soup , she ate most of it ! Perhaps an addition to the children’s menu could be a smaller portion of soup of the day .

Lovely afternoon tea here ,everything fresh and delicious ,proper china teacups for a tasty cup of tea , and lovely staff . Highly recommended

Love this place....the atmosphere, the surroundings, the attention to detail. The food looks amazing and is too tasty for words and the friendly and attentive staff make this a place I want to visit again and again! Thank you Sugar Plums :) xxx

Had a superb early birthday lunch here with a friend - coming back for actual birthday breakfast in a couple of days....my favourite café in North Wales, can you tell? Goats cheese salad was amazing! Coffee cake melted in the mouth. Always so friendly too. Diolch yn fawr iawn xxxx

Wise to book first as it gets very busy! (Take lots of money if you like vintage!)

An avalanche of creamy garlic mushrooms on a delicious thick slice of granary toast followed by a scrumptious warm scone with raspberry jam and clotted cream! Sugar plum tearoom you never disappoint us when we come for lunch. 10 out of 10 ! We will be back x

Absolutely loved this place today, service amazing, cake amazing and I especially loved the ambience, just perfect, highly recommend but make sure to book they were kind enough to squeeze us in but only just as it's so popular which is always a good sign :)

Beautiful afternoon tea yesterday, we've just had the cakes from our doggy bag. I would have actually liked more savoury - the tomato and cheese tart was divine!

My only minor gripe is the tea can't be swapped for anything without charge; our pot was reduced to a single serving for my mum but my cold drink was still full price.

I appreciated the bday balloon and the shop was really interesting. Enjoyed my visit!

I have been here on several occasions and have always had a faultless experience but I was disappointed yesterday. I had pre-ordered some plain sandwiches with the afternoon tea but I had to ask again for these after the food arrived, then half way through our afternoon tea we realised we were missing a vital component.....the tea!! Service was sluggish and we waited a long time to pay. Also my Strawberry milkshake was a real let down and just tasted like a powder shake as opposed to an ice cream one like some of the others. Shame as I have always spoke very highly of this place.
