A very warm welcome from Alison who was happy to answer any questions. Good choice of wholesome pub food with real ales and bottled drinks are reasonably priced. Snug cottage feel, low ceilings, brasses, local banter, and chearful staff.

Lovely old pub, great food, large portions, friendly staff. Had a lovely evening there.

We were advised to go here to eat as the best place in the village, but they had just closed the kitchen as we arrived. Lovely lady behind the bar was very apologetic, so we stayed for a couple of pints anyway!

Popular pub. Nice staff. Heard good things about this place, but food was only okay in my opinion. Also, wasn't too keen on visiting the outside toilets.

This is a lovely little pub just outside Rhayader. It has a number of picnic style tables outside on a sunny verandah. It is our restaurant of choice in the Rhayader area - the service is friendly and efficient and the food is delicious. They do a very affordable pensioner menue on a Thursday too. The chap who gave them three stars must have been in a very bad mood - we've NEVER had anything but an excellent dining experience there. Dogs are welcome on the verandah and in the bar but not in the dining area. Warmly recommended!

Good traditional Pub, small but very interesting features like hole in the floor to play darts, good food. Recomend
