Nice place. Very big inside. Food was good. Good customer service.

Good value pub food. Buzzy atmosphere. Would be good if you had little children as there a play area for under 5s near to an almost separate section of restaurant. Starters were especially impressive. We took the choose 3 and shared. Tasty and generous. Plenty of choice on menu.

A clean and pleasant place to visit. We popped in for our lunch. Friendly staff and have plenty of options in their menu. Food was served hot and they didn't take long to serve us. Not expensive. Well worth the money.

A good place for a meal and a great meeting place as an easy venue to find just off the M4

Nice for coffee, lots of space, reasonable food. They do a good breakfast, especially if you stay in the attached hotel. There is space for the children to play, a family friendly section and a nice log fire for when it's cold.

We have moved to Lydney and have driven past this pub a few times whilst searching for houses and it's made a good impression from the outside. We have never been to this chain but the first impression was superb. The pub has a fantastic appearance from the outside, looks clean, tidy and above all else welcoming. There was easy parking when we pulled up and the good impressions continued as we walked inside. The inside was warm, welcoming and very tastefully designed. There is a kids area as well, which for us was great and a real pleasing site.

There were a lot of places to sit and we picked a nice spot from which we had a good view of the children's area. This pub offers a waiter service, which makes a change from other pubs. The waitress herself was very friendly and helpful but the staff serving the food were curt and not that friendly. The food did make up for it though as it was nicely presented, hot, tasted fresh and all the meals were good.

For us we hope we have now found our regular pub where we can go with the kids, enjoy a nice and decent meal. Hopefully the rest of the staff will learn the value of a smile and a friendly word.
