The Valley Campsite

Great walks, good facilities, great base to explore lots of local attractions

Great value for money with lovely and well-kitted out bell tents, very close to nature with forest, stream, pond and wildlife. Hosts were very accommodating and helpful.

Do not stay here.
The valley campsite is rustic but probably too rustic. The faclilities are 3 taps for drinking and washing up water, 5 bins with labels on them for recycling which are next to the toilets. There are 2 toilets male and female (by this I literally mean there is a single toilet for men and a single toilet for women) the toilets are almost always full of mud, bugs and slugs. Furthermore the toilets have asbestos rooves. Asbestos can cause asbestosis and cancer. After questioning the owners they said it was asbestos but had been checked and was fine. In addition they are ok to allow people withing close proximity to asbestos but the roof to their barn for rabbits and guineapigs is sheet metal.👎👎👎👎👎

Basic facilities, but as much as you need for stripped back camping. Tents are spacious and dry, and the beds are as comfortable as any I've used for camping (we had a futon in fact). The road is close by but the noise didn't trouble us at all. Run by friendly, helpful people. Loved it.

Basic but what I expected. Be careful driving in and out .Fast road concealed entrance.

Perfect for simplistic camping!

We stayed on Tuesday 20th June 2017 for one night and we were the only ones on the sight which was just perfect! The facilities are all fine and suitable for your average camper. The owners were so friendly and full of useful information about the local beaches and what the campsite had to offer. They allowed us to us a disposable BBQ which was great because of the beautiful weather! We had a BBQ and the useless disposable thing died on us when we still had food left so the owner came out and let us use their BBQ and he sorted it out for us! We both felt this was exceptional hospitality when we were only paying £12 a night for both of us!

We would both recommend for people just looking to get away from things or anybody just passing through looking for a cheap night with all the facilities you could want.

Keep up the good work Valley Campsite from two very happy little campers!

Great place to get out and be rapped up in nature. Great people, great walks and close to lots of activities. Definitely be back for more.
