Top food, great service, cheaper than anywhere I've found in town, got a country cottage feel.. first place i haven't had to send me steak back to be cooked how i wanted.. their Sunday lunches are spot on. The way way they treat you and the children makes you actually happy to be there.. definitely making more visits..

When I telephoned to arrange a booking for a two night stay with myself and two children I was told the room would be charged at £35 per night and I was to pay a £25 deposit over the phone. When we arrived the room was substandard which I could cope with for £35 per night. This place is unsuitable if you have children with you as load music is played down stairs in the bar till early hours of the morning. Breakfast wasn't bad and the owner was lovely, well I thought he was lovely until I got ripped off. When I came to pay the bill I was charged a whopping £70 per night. This contradicted what I'd been told over the phone. I obviously feel frustrated and let down that you can ring up and be quoted one price and then be charged another. Advice for anyone booking a room here would be get an email confirmation of how much a night it is ££ before you book.
