The White Horse

Great location; center of Aberystwyth, good food, lots of Big screens for sporting events. In short, looked like an ideal & inexpensive bar. Food wasn't bad either, wish the cleanliness and furniture upkeep was a tad better.

Chain style pub/restaurant with ample seating, dog friendly. Service slow and food fine, but nothing to shout about

Great place. Central location, friendly staff, good range of food and drink on offer. Highly recommended and they have different themed evenings as well.

Good value for money breakfast food deals.
3 real ales for a competitive price.

our brekky here back again for tea.had bacon and egg muffin this morning. And latte for 2.29 it was lovely.we are now having 5 dishes of snacks type food for 8.99 and it's yummy thanks White horse wish you were in our home town

We came in for a couple of drinks on a very warm afternoon after walking all around the town. I had a lager and lime which was fine. However, my fiancée ordered an orange cordial and soda water. Odd drink maybe, but not a difficult one. The girl behind the counter went to get an orange juice to mix. At this point my fiancée said he'd like the squash, not the juice, as he had asked for. She stormed off to get the squash. Returned, put it in his glass, and topped it up with water from tap. She then made a comment about his piercings and when he replied about what he had, she replied "ugh" gave him a filthy look and stormed off again. Very odd behaviour, as she had piercings herself. My fiancee was quite upset, so much so he refused to ask someone else to redo his drink correctly.
Quite a sad upset, as every time I have been here before, the staff and service has been fine.

The food was lovely, everything tasted great and the portion sizes were perfect. However, the service was appalling. After ordering a desert an explaining that we were on a very large table so we're sharing it with another group and not to join our orders we were made to wait 30+ minutes for the desert! We had to complain not once but twice to get our desert (the first time the worker said 'just wait a bit longer' we'd been waiting for 10+ mins at this point). When we finally did get the desert the worker tried blaming it on the kitchen staff when clearly she had added it to the other groups order not separately like asked. Would not recommend
