Well we never would have thought this time last week that Saturday 21st March would have been our last day of work. It breaks my heart to have to close the doors but I have to think of my two girls firstly who are both pregnant and also both our clients and friends at “high risk” and healthy. We are such close contact in our jobs but yet we are not getting told to close or even know what will happen with our business in the next coming months. It seems to be all talk and we a...re literally in the unknown at this moment in time. I will be in touch with all clients who have bookings in the next couple weeks tonight and will continue to be here by message or phone call whenever you need me. I can’t quite believe it. Topchic has become a finalist in the “Most Wanted Salon of the Year” category. Received a phone call yesterday to say we have been nominated. I have always known of these awards but never knew how salons got selected or how to get involved. Totally honoured😍😍

Salon has been deep cleaned tonight from top to bottom, it has a big clean every Monday by my wonderful mother who is just lush and sometimes I may get involved🙄 As for this week it’s had the full shebang. It’s been bleached, scrubbed and anti bac’ in every place possible. Fresh gowns, towels all ready and waiting for the busy week ahead. All hair tools have been thoroughly cleaned and barbercide is at the ready to clean down after each client. We will also be wearing gloves ...and aprons as much as possible.
I know it’s a very shitty situation right now but as long as we all do our bit and you all do yours we should be just great☺️ Please call to rearrange if showing any illness or signs of the virus. Any deposits that have been paid can be used for the next appointment so don’t stress there.

Here is 6 pictures of before and afters from now right back to June last year. They show what patience, good product and a client taking time to care for their hair in between your colour service can look like. My client came to me last June after being copper all over with another salon and wanted to get gradually back lighter whilst keeping hair in the best condition we could. Her hair was slightly dry and over processed from previous bleaching but we took time to discuss o...ur aim and what can be done to get us to that goal. 8 months on, 3 colours later we are there with no banding or brass in sight and her hair has never looked as good. Our best friend Olaplex has played a big part in repairing previous damage and preventing new. The hair is so much longer and even feels thicker. A day of Matrix education at the salon with the amazing Claire John. Such a talented and knowledgable lady. Me and the girls absolutely loved learning new tips and tricks for future clients and trends😆 Our lovely model had quite dry ends from previous bleach and a build up of dark at the root area. We used colour graphics 8vol neutral, 15vol warm and 22vol extra cool tones. This is the result, a beautiful natural looking multi tonal full head. Colour graphics conditions whilst lifting and no damage is done to the hair like bleach can do. Different levels of lift can be done along with different tones depending on desired result. The recent flooding disasters have touched all our hearts at Topchic. As a small business we would like to give something back to the community as we understand many homes have been ruined and people are without hot water and their daily necessities.
We would like to offer a free wash and blow dry to anyone who has been affected by the flooding, just contact us by phone or social media so we can book you in. That’s all you’ll need to do is provide proof of your address. We will run this until the end of February.
To anyone that has been affected, we pray that everything gets sorted for you as quickly as possible and if there’s anything else we can do please get in touch❤️
