All grounds have been mowed after all our weekend visitors. The animals are missing all our campers already....

User

We still have some tent pitches for Whitsun week, and with the good weather forecast Snowdonia is looking set for a great bank holiday.

User

It's officially the summer holiday here in Dolgellau, Snowdonia, and the sun is out!!

User

The staff are so accommodating, we came in a group of nine and were directed to at the top of the hill out of the way which is just what we wanted! Its quite steep so only one of our 3 cars made it to the top but we just parked at the bottom and walked up. The toilets were spotless, and the views are beautiful. It's a 20 minute walk to the town or 5 mins in a taxi (the local taxi driver does a shuttle service for £2 per person!). It's a nice little addition to be able to have a fire going and we really enjoyed our stay - shout out to Dwayne doing his security rounds through the night!

User

Stayed here a couple of time, great place, owners just let you get on with your holiday. Fantastic place!

User

Lovely place great staff lovely clean accommodating bunkhouse and campsite stayed last 2yrs few times close to local town, fuel garage, Starbucks, takeaways

User

Lovely campsite in a picturesque area, good facilities and clean bathrooms. Being able to have electric hook up when camping but being able to have open fires etc was a lovely experience.

User

It’s my 5th stay now and would highly recommend.

User

Great site, facilities are clean and warm , lots of hot water for showers, and electric too!

User

Friendly staff. Clean toilets n showers. Quiet site apart from the odd vehicle on A470, but we wanted quiet-own space etc , situated so you can go off and do your own thing. . Jets ahead were a good sight to see. Stunning views. Brilliant walk for my dogs around torrent falls...Would definitely come back.....

User

Fabulous location . Friendly staff everything we needed for a great weekend

User

Fab campsite, stunning location. The children made friends and were safe enough to explore but always in our view. Loved how the horses would shout when they wanted attention. Being able to have campfires was great.

We will definitely be back and will recommend without a doubt .

User

Excellent campsite, beautiful views and move how close you are to nature.

Toilets were always clean as was the washing up area. Everyone who was there was super friendly, my daughter had an amazing time for her first camping trip! Even when it rained, there were lots of muddy puddles to jump in.

Only downside was two girls who were also camping had their music on relatively loud, and they were tormenting the pig from the local farm that caused them to aggressively get through the gate. I think something should've been said to the girls or they should've been asked to leave, especially considering there were quite alot of children about.

Regardless of this we had a lovely time and plan to come back.

User

Been staying in this place for 10yrs and it's never let us down. Fantastic views and amazing walks. For as long as my nan is here I will be too!! And longer.....total peace and relaxation xx

User

Been and stopped in the bunkhouse a few times. Staff always very friendly. Very reasonably priced. Definitely be back.

User

Would've been a 5*, but we paid for electric hookup and were advised to pitch on the hill/ridge (as to not disturb other campers if we intended to have a drink past 11pm).

We got 2/3 set up, then realised there was no electric hookups on the hill..

Rather than pack down and move, we decided to go without electric for the 2 nights we were there.

After explaining this to the reception house, asking for a partial refund on the overpayment, we were told we couldn't have any money back as there was "no refunds'.

While I understand this for normal circumstances, I was disappointed given then nature of our situation. Coupled with the attitude of the woman at reception at the time, who seemed somewhat amused by the situation, it put a bit of a downer on our stay.

That said, we'll potentially stay here again in the future, but will make sure everything is arranged and organised properly before parting with any money.

User

We love it there just so nice and chilled out there for all

User

Overall the site is lovely. I just feel it was very overbooked. I understand it was bank holiday weekend but it got awfully busy and the views were taken away by tents/motorhomes everywhere.

I would go back and will recommend, just wish it wasn't so busy. Thank you for a lovely stay x

User

Our first time camping at Torrent Walk and we will definitely be returning! Fantastic location, friendly staff and great amenities on site. Our only criticism if had to pick one would be that fridge space was limited for keeping food cold and fresh. We can’t wait to return to the campsite next year 🏕

User

Me and 13 others stayed in the bunkhouse for this year's Wales rally GB. For 3 nights.

the site is spot on. Brilliant shower block & bunk rooms.

brought back some great memory's, from when I went away with my old school.......

£30 for 3 nights is outstanding value for money.

My below comments are not picking fault, just ideas.......

automatic lighting at the bunkhouse sitting area.. not asking for flood lights, just bright enough to light up the sitting area and exit/entrance for the bunkhouse.

Tilt down the flood light at the back of the shower block, or convert it to automate.

Electric socket in the rooms.

Lockable Cupboards in the kitchen for each bunk room, to lock away food......a deposit for the key and charge to use.

We will be back again in 2017, just waiting on dates, for when the rally will take place.

Amazing location and views

We paid for a pitch with electric hook up. Upon our arrival we were asked if we wanted a fire and if would be drinking- which we answered just a couple of beers, nothing too crazy. We were then told that we could only pitch in a certain area of the campsite, not a problem- expect we'd paid for electricity! When we asked, politely, for a refund we were told no, so we asked if we can have a bag in wood instead (which ordinarily are £5, expensive for a bit of wood!), no again. No sorry, no apologies just a very rude- no refunds!

The pitch was up an extremely steep hill, that we couldn't get the car up as it was badly maintained.

Also, the women's toilets were filthy on Sunday morning. No loo roll, muddy floors, blood on the floor of the disabled toilet

It's such a shame as it could be amazing, a little more customer service and attention to detail is needed though

User

I didn't like this at all... If people say you can get on with your holiday, they're wrong! We had our axe and machete out and we were accused of looking like terrorists!

Too expensive... It's even worse that you get a complain about you if you find your own wood! £5 a bag of wood!
