Our 1 owner 924 auto restoration is moving along nicely, new bearings, discs, rebuilt calipers, seals, pistons, brake lines throughout, new rear brake assemblies and drums. Suspension all rebuilt and installed.
Rear lights and bumper installed today.
Tomorrow is new updated in-car audio install throughout and then rebuild the doors with reconditioned motors and locks.
... I'm getting slightly attached to this car as I find myself falling in love with the colour every day I work on it

Our next restoration is nearly ready for the reassembly and final fitting of new lines.
One owner car from new.
Can't wait to see this one once it's built.
... Great work by Mark the paint artist on bringing this one back from the dead.

Here she is,
Ready to advertise this week for a new owner/collector.
Thanks for the stubbornness at times, but we eventually became friends

Final stage of the restoration nearly completed...
3 stage full paint correction and then a ceramic coating.
Amazing how many hairline scratches a car picks up even when being covered and protected during rebuilds.

It's been a real Labour of love and I've lost count of how many hours I have in this car, but she's finished (apart from final trim bits and a polish)
Bare shell rebuild, safe to say she looks pretty!

Our s2 is on the market...
Just in time to get it dialed in for your 2018 season 😉

Few images of the underside of the restoration.
As you can see we have run brand new brake and fuel lines throughout the car, including braided lines to form over the torque tube and connecting to the new fuel filter and fuel pump. The tank has been chemically flushed also. New underseal applied to the floor and inner arches.
... New exhaust fitted this morning with new rubber hangers. Powerflex bushes on the ARB to ensure the handling still feels tight, accompanied with new struts and front suspension.
Windscreen is being fitted today and then the car will be off to MOT before coming to market

Nearing completion on the guards red restoration...
All the interior is complete now, with the addition of new script seats, new seat belts front and rear.
New rubbers in the rear hatch locks and seals.
... Sunroof motor has been stripped and rebuilt and functions perfectly now.
Doors have been rebuilt with the motor and mechanisms cleaned, new operating switches and wiring fitted. Fresh vinyl applied to the door edges, which are far more lasting than the standard painted areas.
Front bumper and lights are all installed, with new lenses and reflective backing in the housings.
New exhaust arrived, ready for final fitting next week. Freshly refurbished cookie cutters with brand new kumho 215/60 R15 tyres all round.
Should be on the market either end of the month, or beginning of November.
This car really has been a Labour of love and passion, with no shortcuts taken.

So it was the last round of the championship yesterday, the S2 held up well and managed to put in some great laps considering we had to revert back to the standard non-lsd gearbox.
We were 2-3 seconds off what we're usually lapping due to the loss of traction from not having the lsd, but nonetheless the car got us home for 2nd place in both races.
Not too bad for an old girl!
... Gained a few battle scars but nothing a day panel beating won't sort out.
Now to find a 944 turbo engine over the winter months and find more pace!

Bit more progress on the rebuild, front lights and arches have been stripped down and completely rebuilt. Even though the headlight covers and surrounds will be covering the framework, it's still an area that we don't ignore

Majority of the interior on the guards red rebuild is in. New rear quarter cards fitted, seat belts stripped and cleaned, new fixings in place for the rear sections and test fit of the boot carpet.
New wiring loom for a modern stereo installed, along with new speakers in the doors and rear quarters.
We can't wait to see it finished and on the road!

Start of a new week here at trans9 automotive. Turbo S will be finished having sill repair work and body work this week, interior on the guards red rebuild is close to completion and the 85 guards red (first car in picture) having finishing touches before it goes to it's new owner this weekend

A bit more progress on the guards red rebuild. Although the shell won't be visible due to the sound deadening and carpet, it's still an area where we focus on and make sure it's clean and the paint is corrected and protected.
The other images are of a paint correction we carried out on one of the cars. They are reflections off the panels to show the clarity of the paint after 2 days of cleaning and correcting. It's a black car believe it or not!

Interior work has started on the guards red rebuild.
Stripping down the tatty gauges that had poorly fitted stickers on the faces and cleaning and rebuilding them with new needles and mechanisms.
Also, new sound deadening installed as the original was starting to crumble after 34 years.

Got the 951 on the ramps this morning to inspect the body work thoroughly, these pictures show the work of a 'specialist' garage who charged the previous owner an extortionate amount to fix the rotten areas...
All they have done is spot weld an ill-fitting piece of steel sheeting over the rear chassis mounts and caked it with filler, along with poorly fitting a new outer sill, and using an impact adhesive to fit a sheet of steel on the inside of the front wing before smotheri...ng it with filler!
These are constant issues that we are forever correcting and doing the correct way.
Always check the work carried out before paying the garage.

Guess what's coming to the market next week?
