Welsh people forget we have great coastline. There is nothing better than walking on the beach for that feelgood factor. The beach goes for miles and in summer you can grab a drink or ice-cream and watch the donkeys.

Also Porthcawl has a good set of shops in the high street. Whatever you want you can find it here. From amazing shoes, plants and fresh veg to a screwdriver or unique Welsh gifts. Cafe's and restaurants all round.we spend all day there then go to the theatre. Coming soon Kast off Kinks a band not to be missed. So if u like fun take a trip.

We were in Porthcawl for the annual Jazz Festival and the restaurant was one of the venues. Haven't been to Trecco Bay for 30 years and was pleasantly surprised at how it looks now. The restaurant was excellent value, the salad bar especially good value. Luckily the sun was shining while we were there so everyone, possibly holidaymakers, were using all the facilities. Was impressed with the Parkdean staff who were on hand to deal with all eventualities, such as a spilt drink causing broken glass.

Gorgeous Beach! My hubby & I visited here while we were staying at the caravan park last week, we were lucky enough to have the whole beach to ourselves on what was a proper sunny day... We will be back

User

Fantastic place to visit with 3 totally different beaches. One dog friendly all Year round. With One of the best caravan parks in the UK

User

very very very very expensive and in turn unreasonable. but on the bright side the caravan was lovely even though it was a privet owned.

User

The park itself was okay, plenty going on for the children, well my 8yr old anyway, not much entertainment for a teenage girl of 13 though unfortunately, plus I had my disabled mother with me and it was really difficult to find something they all enjoyed! We had a wheelchair friendly caravan and to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. The caravan (62 Cedars) was filthy, the disabled shower was overflowing and flooding the bathroom (I guess that’s why the mop & bucket were in the shower). I’m just glad neither my mother, my children or myself slipped! I managed to get the drainage filter out and I nearly vomited, there was mounds of different colour/lengths of peoples hair in there!!! The shower didn’t overflow after that but surely the staff should check these things and put bleach down the plug holes, considering there are different guests there practically every week? The carpets were stained in the living room, the double bed was far too low for a disabled person, my mum struggled to get in and out every night and the twin room, you were practically sleeping on top of one another! My eldest daughter decided to sleep in the lounge but as she pulled out the cushions to make a bed all we could smell was a damp and musky odour which was extremely off putting when trying to eat a meal! To think we paid nearly £400 from a Friday at 4pm to a Monday at 10am is mortifying! The most helpful and polite staff were the doormen and they are contracted out.

User

We paid extra to bring a dog and was put in a tatty caravan that was very basic and had seen better days. The bathroom was tiny, nowhere to put the bar of soap or my glasses whilst in the shower. The metal steps outside the door were slippery when wet. The seating area was uncomfortable due to the boards underneath the cushions being warped. The bottom of the walls were dirty and grubby.

User

We came here for a weeks holiday recently and went home two days early, it was warm at night and the smell of weed coming from other caravans was coming into our children's bedroom, we couldn't close the windows becouse it was so humid, the so called American diner was very misleading,as the food was atrocious, and to round it off it was £8.40 for a pint of bitter & cider, we will be purging for a refund as we had a poor time here at this resort, absolutely appalling
