We encourage children to learn through their senses, observations and experiences. We promote personal and social development, language and literacy, mathematics, knowledge and understanding of the world, physical development, and pre-reading and pre-writing skills. Fortunately, our woodland setting provides the perfect location for facilitating this development in the outdoor environment.
The Nursery is registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate for Wales and as part of our registration we are regularly inspected. Our most recent inspection took place in December 2012 and, once again, confirmed our high standards.
The Nursery operates a “key worker” system, so that designated members of staff ensure continuity for your children. We maintain high staff to child ratios as follows:
0-2 years : 3-to-1;
2-3 years : 4-to-1;
3 years and over : 8-to-1;
This allows the staff to give optimum care and attention.
