What a busy few weeks at Ty Cwm Rhondda, I'm sure it's a busy time of year for all of our followers too! A massive thank you to all of our staff who have really started getting everyone engaged in exciting and fun activities that we love to do this time of year. Our Halloween party was an absolute success and was loved by all who attended! Thank you to those who arranged it.
A big warm welcome to all of our new staff across the hospital (regular and bank) who have started wit...h us over the last few weeks - you are all settling in brilliantly and we really value the work that you are already doing! Welcome to #teamtycwm! You have all been fantastic additions! Talking of great additions, we currently have some amazing student nurses with us who are also doing some amazing work, and we have one more joining us! We love having students as they often get us thinking and learning that little bit more!
We also finally counted our Macmillan money and as a site we realised a whopping £410! What generous people we have around us! We couldn't have done it without you all!

Our team are being asked to reflect on what what it is that has resulted in making a positive impact to the service or one another. We are also asking for feedback from our patient's, they are at the forefront of consistent efforts to make change and develop our service further.

Ridiculously busy few weeks hence why we've been so quiet.... for a change.
We have successfully recruited an amazing psychologist. We have also appointed two wonderful staff nurses and a full time Healthcare assistant. Welcome to our team.
... We are now busy recruiting for an occupational therapy assistant.
We have commenced with safewards planning and I have to say the patient's and staff responses and feedback to this has been fantastic
Our annual Macmillan coffee morning is just around the corner. Local businesses response to supporting our raffle has exceeded last years. Over 20 businesses having already donated some amazing prizes. We are truely greatful for your continued support.
Looking forward to the baking competition sorry guys but I will be retaining my bake off queen crown👸🏼
We have further developed links with USW and fingers crossed two of our amazing HCA's will be able to start their nursing degree much sooner than they had anticipated.
I have been asked to speak at the student nurse conference in September. I will be sharing my experiences as a Learning Disability nurse and how Priory have supported me from preceptorship to Hospital Director
